Leonardo DiCaprio And His ‘Titanic’ Co-Star Kate Winslet Are The Cutest Couple Of Awards Season [Pics]

If there’s been one common thread throughout Hollywood’s award season this year, it’s been Leonardo DiCaprio. Along with taking home an award and stealing the show during the 2016 Golden Globes, DiCaprio won big at the 2016 Screen Actors Guild awards. However, the Revenant star hasn’t been alone in his accomplishments, with his Titanic co-star Kate Winslet sharing some great moments with DiCaprio throughout his award run.

As fans will recall, DiCaprio and Winslet shared more than one special moment during the recent Golden Globes. According to Vanity Fair, this included a few hugs and secret words exchanged between the two as fans were treated to an epic Jack and Rose reunion.

In speaking about her winnings during the Golden Globes, Winslet told E! Online that she was completely caught off guard with her selection. For the most part, Winslet admitted she was surprised because she was only thinking about DiCaprio and his chances of adding more awards to his illustrious career.

“I was shocked!” Winslet shared. “To be honest with you, [it was] because I’ve been so focused on Leo and him winning everything and being so excited for him. Also there were other actress who have floated in and out of the supporting category but other consistent nominees have been Alicia Vikander, Rooney Mara, and I just thought ‘One of those girls is surely going to win, and I’m absolutely not going to win this,’ so I was genuinely, extremely shocked.”

The fact that Winslet’s thoughts were centered on DiCaprio is not surprising given their long history together. Along with their work on Titanic, the two stars have remained close over the years, with DiCaprio and Winslet starring together in the 2008 film Revolutionary Road.

With that rich history to build from, Vanity Fair is reporting that the SAG Awards took full advantage DiCaprio and Winslet’s reunion, much to the delight of fans. Although the interactions between DiCaprio and Winslet during the Golden Globes were spontaneous, the SAG committee made sure fans would glimpse the two together again.

Prior to the 2016 SAG Awards, TNT posted an image on Instagram that revealed Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet would be seated next to each other during the event. Fans only had to sit back and wait for the two stars to interact in front of the cameras, which didn’t take long.

While it isn’t known if DiCaprio and Winslet knew they would be sitting together, the two managed to coordinate their outfits for the event. In fact, the former on-screen lovers chose to wear matching Armani outfits to the award ceremony.

For his part, DiCaprio won the SAG award for Best Actor for his work in The Revenant. After it was announced that he had won, DiCaprio gave a round of hugs to those sitting at his table, then turned around and embraced Winslet, finishing the celebrations with a kiss for his Titanic co-star.

The Jack and Rose reunion at the SAG awards was enough to satisfy any DiCaprio and Winslet shipper. While the two may never get together in real life, the image of the two embracing and kissing during the 2016 SAG Awards is sure to last a long time in the memory of many fans.

The best part of all is that the Academy Awards are still on the way, which should offer even more moments between DiCaprio and Winslet. Whether or not the Academy Awards decide to sit the two in close proximity is unknown, but considering fans have reacted so far, there is a good chance that another DiCaprio/Winslet reunion is on the way.
