Ian Somerhalder And Nina Dobrev Reunion — Nikki Reed Completely Unfazed, Moving On After ‘Twilight’

Despite the rumors of a possible reunion between Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev, Nikki Reed is not worried about her husband’s loyalty. In fact, Reed is unfazed by the idea that her husband would leave in order to get back with his former co-star.

According to Gossip Cop, both Somerhalder and Dobrev’s names recently became a trending topic on Twitter. Although their names were trending due to the desire of fans to see their characters back together on The Vampire Diaries, reports began to surface that Reed was jealous about the whole affair.

However, these claims have yet to be backed up by any sort of evidence. Furthermore, Reed recently sat down with Yahoo Health and did not hint that anything was amiss between her and Somerhalder. Instead, Reed appeared to be more than content with how her life has turned out since her Twilight days.

Although Reed did not dish a whole lot of details about her relationship with Somerhalder, she did discuss how she was able to move on after rising to stardom in her role as Rosalie Hale in Twilight. For starters, Reed cited her relationship with her brother as one thing that helped her stay grounded following the end of the hit franchise.

At the same time, Reed also talked about the struggles she encountered after being cast for the role. Reed admitted that she faced a lot of criticism, both from herself and from fans of the books who did not think she was the appropriate choice for the character.

“It’s all about finding other ways to feel beautiful, otherwise you’re just chasing something forever,” she shared. “I experienced this a lot when I played Rosalie in Twilight. If you’re not familiar, this role was supposed to be characterized as the ‘most beautiful woman in the world.’ That’s how the part was written. And when you’re cast to play that character with that description, there’s an inevitable amount of external and internal criticism.”

Fortunately, Reed was able to overcome the pressures of Hollywood by not worrying about the expectations others had placed on her.

“And I finally realized: There’s no pressure on me, because that woman doesn’t exist. She just doesn’t exist. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,” she explained in the interview. “And all of a sudden, there was no more pressure to meet those standards.”

Given her ability to withstand all of the criticism during her Twilight days, there is little doubt that Reed is handling the rumors surrounding Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev in a similar manner.

Meanwhile, Reed has ventured out into a number of different projects following her days on the big screen. This includes pursuing her education and becoming a leading advocate for animal rights and the environment. In fact, it is her pursuits outside of acting that Reed credits for keeping her life balanced.

In speaking with Cosmopolitan, Reed opened up about her advocacy for the environment. In particular, Reed talked about veganism and how everyone can do their part in helping improve the state of the environment.

“It’s so intimidating. People get scared and they do nothing, so I’m trying to teach young people that waking up in the morning and deciding to just turn off your water when you’re brushing your teeth and saving those two minutes of water is pretty f***ing cool,” she stated in the interview.

Apart from her active role in animal rights and environmental work, Reed is also working on re-booting her acting career. Currently, fans can watch Reed in her role in the hit television series Sleepy Hollow, which airs on FOX.
