‘Guardians Of The Galaxy 2’: Post-Credit Scene Written, A Chris Pratt ‘Spelling Error,’ And A Script Change
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is set to film in a few weeks, and with director James Gunn at the helm of the movie and on social media, there’s no telling what kind of bits and pieces of items he’ll throw up online — be it on Twitter, Facebook, or even live via Periscope Q and A sessions. Here, what was revealed so far was a post-credit scene announced, a table read picture of a Chris Pratt spelling error, and a mention of a script change.
Now via Facebook, director Gunn shared with his fans on social media a picture of Chris Pratt’s table placement name tag and how he had to “correct” the spelling of Pratt’s name. “Qris Prat” was the correction during the table read of Guardians of the Galaxy 2. This is rather on par considering James Gunn is a screen writer.

Is this a new kind of positive reinforcement or learning system that the director devised not unlike his Play-Doh reward system during the filming of the first Guardians movie? Gunn is good at keeping the peace with people under his employ as well as fans while at the same time keeping happy the Marvel snipers by not revealing too much, according to Collider.
If you take a flashback to a moment, the fun times was to be had even then as James Gunn gave away small containers of Play-Doh to the crew for a job well done, according to ComicBook.com.
“As some of you know, I gave out tiny jars of Play-Doh to people on the set of Guardians when they did an extraordinary job.”
The Guardians of the Galaxy 2 director is popular with keeping some kind of interactivity with his fans on Facebook by answering questions. One fan in particular had asked if any changes were made during the table read.
“I changed one line today but other than that the script is pretty much what I’ve written.”
In addition to the Facebook shenanigans was Twitter, where Gunn revealed an already written post-credit ending to Guardians of the Galaxy 2, according to a report at Collider. In a response to a Twitter fan who asked, “Is the post-credit scene already scripted or will you think about it later?”, James Gunn replied, “Scripted”
So there it is, just enough teased to maybe get people excited for Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and not enough information given to trouble Marvel Studios.
If anyone recalls the first movie, it featured Howard the Duck at the end where The Collector is enjoying a drink in his already demolished quarters after his slave underling made contact with one of the Infinity Stones. This led to a buzz going around the internet on whether or not the fowl, sarcastic creature would be coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, according to Cinema Blend. Gunn had his response on that.
“If people think that’s going to lead to a Howard The Duck movie… that’s probably not going to happen in the next four years. Who knows after that?”
Also, the Doctor Who companion and Nebula actress Karen Gillan made landfall in Atlanta to get started on the project and made her following tweet:
“Finally made it to Atlanta to start tormenting those Guardians of the Galaxy.”
James Gunn continued answering tweets as far as a full casting list is concerned, with one asking, “I know you’ll never answer this but when will [we] get a FULL cast announcement?”
Gunn responded, “I’m assured that it will be very soon.”
That being said, there’s already out a partial list of just three with David Bautista returning as Drax, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, and Michael Rooker as Yondu. There’s also an actress cast by the name of Old Boy’s Pom Klementieff to be in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, but according to IMBD, her character is yet to be known. She is rumored though to be portraying Mantis, a character that had also been in league with the cosmic team in the comic books, according to Inquisitr.
The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 movie is scheduled to start filming in a few weeks and to be released in theaters come May 5, 2017.
