Iggy Azalea ‘White Privilege II’ Twitter Feud Escalates, Talib Kweli Joins Macklemore Song Beef
The phrase “Iggy Azalea Twitter Feud” is starting to become a bit routine. The 24-year-old Australian rapper has been involved in so many at this point it’s almost hard to keep count.
Following the release of Macklemore’s “White Privelege II,” it appears as if Azalea is at it again, this time feuding with legendary hip-hop artist Talib Kweli on Twitter. And according to Entertainment Tonight things got a little heated, with the Brooklyn rapper calling out Iggy for not understanding the message rapper Macklemore was trying to get across.
True story. I actually rooted for Iggy when she first came out. But she’s disrespected hip hop culture one too many times.

He then went on to add, “The fact @iggyazalea thinks Macklemore song was a diss to her, instead of actually listening, is proof of her privilege. F**k Iggy Azalea.”
Not one to take the high road, Iggy took to Twitter, yet again, to defend herself and her use of hip-hop music in her career.
@TalibKweli I actually love hip hop, i wouldnt endure the amount of shit i get if i didnt. maybe i dont showcase it in the way you like

Later on, Iggy Azalea put her finishing touches on her argument, countering Talib Kweli’s original beef that she didn’t understand Macklemore’s message to begin with.
The world is FUNNY. Im not actually heated about macklamores song or its message. I dont think its intention was to make me a tending topic.

What comes of this twitter beef is anybody’s guess, but it’s safe to assume the Australian rapper will most likely get into it with some other rapper, artist, or fast food chain.
Iggy Azalea famously brought to task the fast food chain Papa Johns, as reported by Time, after an encounter with a delivery person went awry.. @PapaJohns was my favorite pizza but the drivers they use give out your personal phone number to their family members.

And the supervisors at @PapaJohns refuse to send pictures of their employess so you can identify who it is that steals your information

You know, to protect their privacy… Too bad they don’t value the privacy of their customers also. #DamnShame

As reported by Entertain This, Azalea went on to explain why she reacted on Twitter the way she did.
“I just want to know that you’re taking this serious because it affects other people, too — potentially not famous people, and I want to make sure that’s not happening in the neighborhood I live in.”
Of course the most infamous Twitter beef Iggy Azalea engaged in was between her and rapper Azealia Banks, in which Banks first accused Azalea of appropriating black culture in her music. Which then lead to her being called out in Macklemore’s “White Privilege II.”
As reported by E! Online, Azealia Banks bashed Iggy Azalea on Hot 97 after Azalea was nominated for a Grammy award.“I feel like in this country, whenever it comes to our things, like black issues or black politics or black music or whatever, there’s always this undercurrent of kinda like a ‘f**k you… That Iggy Azalea s**t isn’t better than any f**king black girl that’s rapping today… The Grammys are supposed to be accolades of artistic excellence. Iggy Azalea is not excellent.”
The beef then migrated back over to Twitter, where Azalea has grown quite familiar with defending herself.
In the end, the feud between Azealia Banks and Iggy Azalea probably did more for Banks’ career than Azalea’s, as it gained her significant attention. Perhaps Iggy should learn from this and simply practice what she preached to Talib Kweli in one of her closing tweets arguments recently when she said “let’s just agree to disagree.”
