Jennifer Garner Still Wants To Save Her Marriage To Ben Affleck, Is The ‘Batman V Superman’ Star Ready To Reconcile?

In 2005, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner tied the knot and began their life together at a private Parrot Cay resort on the Turks and Caicos Islands. Ten years later, in 2015, the couple separated over allegations that Ben had an affair with their kids nanny, Christine Ouzounian. Ben has furiously denied that he ever had any such relationship with the 28-year-old nanny.

Despite their nasty split, new sources claim that Garner still has hopes that the couple could work things out and get back together.

“Jen really thinks there is a chance they can fix their relationship,” a source told Radar Online.

If things were up to Garner, then the couple wouldn’t be divorced.

However, also according to Radar Online, the problem lies with Affleck, who isn’t interested at all in the notion of the couple reuniting.

“He wants nothing to do with getting back together,” the insider dished.

Adding to the Elektra stars confusion is the fact that she and Affleck seem to be spending an awful lot of time together recently, much more than the average separated couple. The pair are seen together quite often, even taking a trip to Big Sky, Montana, with their three children, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel, for Christmas.

Sources also explained that Affleck and Garner also still live together for the sake of their three kids.

“Ben is living in the family house, but in a separate section,” a source told E! News. “He has a room to himself, but it’s in an area that Jen goes to on a daily basis. It has forced them to have to day-to-day interactions and spend a lot more time together than a typical separated couple. It’s working well for the kids to have both of them there in close quarters, so they have made sacrifices and agreed to do it for now.”

However, the source also stated that Jennifer Garner is at the end of her rope when it comes to some of the Batman v Superman star’s choices but tries her best to ignore them for the sake of what’s best for their family.

Garner “is fed up and frustrated with some of Ben’s choices, but she chooses to look the other way and do what’s best for her kids,” the friend stated in the same interview with E! News. “She feels like Ben is no longer her responsibility, and she isn’t going to stress over what he’s doing.”

While Jennifer might look the other way when it comes to Ben since their separation, reports by In Touch say Affleck is stressed out over his ex-wife’s dating life. The report claims that Ben is “absolutely fuming” that Garner is back to the dating life. She is even rumored to have gone out with McDreamy himself, Patrick Dempsey.

“He’s demanding and jealous, constantly asking her who she’s spending time with,” said the insider. “It’s a huge blow to his ego. He hates that he has no control over her anymore.”

While Affleck may be upset with Garner’s newly discovered dating life, those closest to Garner and Ben don’t believe a reunion is truly in their future. Especially those closest to Ben, who believe the couple will never completely reconcile their relationship. Nevertheless, the pair seems to be clicking on the surface of their relationship but not any deeper and only for the kids’ sake.
