Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton recently did a little shopping together, and the store they were spotted at is sparking speculation that the couple is planning a wedding. However, they weren’t browsing the ring selection at a jewelry store or checking out gowns at a bridal boutique—the couple was simply picking up a few things at a dollar store.
But don’t worry—Gwen isn’t going to wear a Ring Pop as a wedding ring or a dryer sheet as a veil. OK! Magazine is hilariously trying to suggest that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s recent visit to a Dollar General store in Tishomingo, Oklahoma could be a sign that the multi-millionaires are trying to save money for a wedding . A headline on the website reads, “Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton Saving Up For A Wedding?”
According to E! News , a lucky fan spotted Gwen and Blake shopping at the dollar store in Blake’s hometown, and the couple was kind enough to pose for a photo with two star-struck fans. Gwen Stefani actually took charge of the group selfie by grabbing one of the fans’ phones and snapping the photo. The owner of the phone later revealed that Gwen even changed the photo effect.

The fan also informed one of her inquisitive Twitter followers that she did not see an engagement ring on Gwen Stefani’s left hand, so it’s safe to say that that the “Used to Love You” singer and Blake Shelton weren’t really trying to save money for a wedding by shopping at a dollar store. Tishomingo is a small town with a population of around 3,000, so there simply aren’t many places to shop for necessities. Perhaps Gwen simply forgot to pack her deodorant, nail clippers, or razor before jetting off with her boyfriend.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Blake Shelton recently proved that he’s definitely not counting his pennies by seemingly purchasing a very pricey present for Gwen. The “Hollaback Girl” singer recently revealed that someone gave her a horse named Halo as a gift, and Shelfani fans are pretty convinced that Blake bought Gwen’s gorgeous new brown-eyed ride. A source told E! News that Gwen actually received Halo’s stylish saddle as a Christmas gift from a “special friend,” so perhaps Blake gave it to her when she was visiting Tishomingo with him during the holidays.
Blake Shelton recently denied rumors that he and Gwen Stefani are planning a wedding and talking about having kids together, so don’t expect to see Halo walking down the aisle as their ring bearer anytime soon. Blake told Entertainment Tonight that he thinks it’s “awfully early” to be thinking about such things—after all, he and Gwen have only been dating since November. However, they did recently commit to parenting a horse together, so this could be a sign that things are getting pretty serious.
After beginning divorce proceedings with Gavin Rossdale turned Gwen Stefani’s whole world upside down, she needed a prince on a white horse to come riding into her life to rescue her. Instead, Gwen got a cowboy and a horse named Halo, and she the “Tragic Kingdom” princess couldn’t be happier. During a recent interview with InStyle , Gwen talked about working on her upcoming third solo album and how things have turned around for since she and Gavin announced their divorce.
“I’ve written most of the songs for this album during a tragedy that I turned into a joyful time. It will very much be like looking into my journal when you listen to it.”
In other words, fans will probably hear a few sad songs inspired by Gavin Rossdale and a few “joyful” ones about Blake Shelton. Gwen still isn’t sure when her album will drop, but she says that the response from fans has already been “unbelievable.”
While Gwen Stefani fans won’t get to see the singer walking down the aisle with Blake Shelton in the near future, at least they can look forward to getting a little insight into the Voice coaches’ adorable relationship whenever Gwen releases her highly-anticipated third solo album. Perhaps Halo the horse will even get a mention in one of Gwen’s songs.
