Kim Richards’ Sisters, Kathy Hilton & Kyle Richards, End Feud As She Mourns The Death Of Monty Brinson [Report]

Kim Richards’ ex-husband, Monty Brinson, lost his battle with cancer recently, leaving the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star completely heartbroken. Although Kim Richards has not yet spoken out about the tragic passing of Brinson, the father of her oldest daughter, Brooke Brinson, a source claims she is understandably “inconsolable.”

Kim Richards “is beyond inconsolable,” an insider revealed to Radar Online on January 25.

“Even though [Kim Richards] knew Monty was dying, she had prayed and hope for a miracle. Monty had lived twelve months beyond what doctors had said was the time he had left,” the source explained.

While the next several months are sure to be quite brutally emotionally for Kim Richards, she will reportedly have her family, including sisters Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton, at her side.

“Kathy is stepping in and taking care of paying for a memorial/funeral service. Those plans are still being made, but [Kim Richards] won’t need to worry about anything,” the source revealed, adding that Kyle has been in touch with Kyle Richards since Brinson passed.

“They are in a better place than just a few months ago,” the source noted of the previously feuding sisters.

Kim Richards was married to Brinson for just three years, between 1985 to 1988, but in recent years, the couple has sustained a very close friendship, and were living together for several months last year. They were also known to attend family events as a couple, but it was never disclosed whether they were romantic in the months leading up to Brinson’s death.

After Brinson was given just months to live in 2014, his daughter, Brooke, chose to tie the knot in a ceremony at the home of Kathy and Rick Hilton in order to ensure he would be able to walk her down the aisle. Then, in May 2015, Brooke married husband Thayer Weiderhorn in a second ceremony, which Brinson was advised by doctors not to attend due to his dwindling health.

Throughout the last couple of years, Kyle and Kathy have been at odds due to a feud between their husbands, Mauricio Umansky and Rick, respectively, which began when Umansky left Rick’s real estate firm to start a company of his own. During recent episodes of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle revealed to Lisa Vanderpump that she had been advised against attending the July 2015 wedding of Nicky Hilton due to the feud, but ultimately attended the ceremony without Umansky, who was left off the guest list.

Fortunately, despite their past issues, Kyle and Kathy are doing their best to get along and support Kim Richards as she grieves the loss of her former parter.

The Hiltons will “be there to support [Kim Richards] during this very difficult time. Monty had been the rock in [Kim Richards]’s life, and everyone just wants to get her though this tragic ordeal,” the insider added.

Although Kim Richards has yet to speak publicly about the loss of Brinson, she did share a tweet just three days ago, thanking fans for their prayers during his battle with cancer.

“Hi Everyone… I’ve missed U all.. Thank you for all the Love and Prayers for Monty! Your messages touch my heart XO KIM,” the message read.

Kim Richards is expected to be seen during the latter-half of the sixth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which is currently airing on Bravo on Tuesdays at 9 p.m.
