‘Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ Season 6 — What Does O.J. Simpson Have To Do With The Latest Catfight?

While it may have taken a little longer than expected, Kathryn Edwards finally made her debut on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Fortunately for fans, Edwards brought plenty of drama in her first episode, including a past history with none other than O.J. Simpson.

According to Vulture, Edwards’ connection to former NFL star is via her past marriage to Marcus Allen. Allen and Simpson were close friends, with the former being tied to famous murder of Simpson’s wife, Nicole Brown. In fact, not only is Edwards connected to Simpson through Allen, but she also has ties with Faye Resnick, who wrote about the Simpson’s tragic marriage.

With that in mind, E! Online is reporting that Lisa Rinna couldn’t help but bring up Edwards’ connection with Simpson and Resnick. While Edwards was introduced to fans during Lisa Vanderpump’s Hero Dog Awards ceremony at Pump, it only took a few minutes for Rinna to blurt out Simpson’s name.

Resnick’s best friend on the show, Kyle Richards, was not so willingly to discuss Simpson and Resnick. In fact, after Rinna brought up the issue, Richards was quick to shoot it down, then asked Edwards about her ties with Resnick later in the episode.

For her part, Edwards denied having met Resnick even though she had mentioned Edwards in her book about Simpson’s marriage. As it turns out, Edwards has a good reason not to discuss Resnick, which includes the latter insulting her in the book.

“My feelings about Faye Resnick are not positive. She mentioned me in her book,” Edwards stated. “I never read it, but in the book she referenced me and said that I was just some kind of ‘turn the blind eye, look the other way’ kind of wife. There’s a lot of things you can say about me. That is not one of them.”

Given Richards’ close ties with Resnick and the nature of their conversation, fans can expect more drama to unfold between the two women.

At the same time, Edwards recently sat down with Ok! Magazine and discussed her first year on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. For the most part, Edwards expressed her excitement with being a part of the show and opportunities to go out and mingle with new people.

“It’s always nice to meet a new group of women,” Edwards shared. “I think for the most part everyone was pretty welcoming. A few of them were a little curious, but I knew Rinna and I knew Yolanda [Foster].”

However, things aren’t all good for the newest member of the reality series. While she may have a close relationship with Rinna and Foster, Edwards admitted that she was a little worried about her initial meeting with Richards.

That being said, Edwards made it clear that she is not afraid of anyone on the show, which should be interesting to see unfold in the next few installments.

“I’m a competitive person by nature and I don’t like to lose arguments so for me I’m kind of like a fight-til-the-death type person,” Edwards stated in the interview.

As far as where she stands on one of the more controversial issues on the show, Edwards added that is in full support of Foster’s battle with Lyme disease. “I’m not in any type of agreement with questioning her illness. I know that Lyme disease is a serious thing and my step-dad has it … And I have other friends that have it so I’m very well aware,” she explained.

Fans can watch the drama continue to unfold between Edwards and her co-stars when season 6 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills continues Tuesday nights on Bravo.
