‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ Casting News: Chris McKenna Of ‘Young And Restless’ Tackles New Role On ‘B&B’

There is great news out for fans of actor Chris McKenna, who played Detective Mark Harding on The Young and the Restless a while back. Y&R fans were saddened to see McKenna’s character get killed off, and now the actor reveals that he has just started a new gig. What’s the scoop on his new role?

Chris McKenna tweeted that he has just started a new gig on The Bold and the Beautiful. He joked that it felt like he had been there before, which of course is a reference to the fact that both Young and Restless and Bold and Beautiful are CBS soap operas that are based across the hall from one another.

Just what is known so far about McKenna’s new role? Unfortunately, there are few Bold and Beautiful spoilers available on this one so far. According to Daytime Confidential, the former Y&R and One Life to Live star may be popping up as a new love interest for one of the Logan sisters.

That is certainly an interesting tidbit, should it pan out to be accurate. Most recently, B&B fans have been watching Katie work on bringing Brooke to Spencer Publications, aiming to strengthen their relationship. However, both Brooke and Bill are fighting some lingering feelings from their past days together.

While Brooke initiated a kiss with Bill recently that left him a bit stunned, viewers have seen that it seems to be Bill who is having a hard time leaving things in the past. There is clearly more to come on this front in the weeks ahead, and now, the casting of McKenna adds a new layer of intrigue.

Could Katie and Bill end up splitting, paving the way to a new romance for Katie with McKenna’s character? Or could Chris be brought in to shake things up with Brooke? For now, fans will have to stay tuned for further The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers about this new character to see if he will be connecting with a Logan sister, or whether he might have an entirely different storyline ahead.

A first air date for McKenna on The Bold and the Beautiful has not yet been detailed. Unlike Days of Our Lives, which tapes about six months ahead, B&B usually films more like a month ahead of each show’s air date. Given that, it should not take too much longer for additional details to emerge about this new character.

Will The Young and the Restless fans, who loved Det. Harding, and even former One Life to Live fans who adored Joey Buchanan, hop over to Bold and Beautiful to check out McKenna’s new gig? There had been some buzz swirling that Chris may end up on another soap after departing Y&R, and now it is time to make it official.

Celeb Dirty Laundry teases that fairly soon, Katie will pick up on the sparks flying between her husband and her sister, and there could be another epic Logan sister confrontation. If that does indeed happen, it is easy to see how Chris McKenna’s character could come in and provide some comfort to Katie during her time of heartbreak. However, fans will have to stay tuned for a bit yet to see if that is where things are headed with this new character.
