Woman Makes Facebook Confession: Nakasia Macc James Admits Killing Abusive Ex-Boyfriend On Facebook
Nakasia Macc James, an 18-year-old woman from San Bernardino, California, was arrested by police after she allegedly stabbed her ex-boyfriend to death. Hours after committing the crime, Nakasia posted an update on her Facebook page in which she admitted to stabbing and killing the man, later identified as 21-year old Dorian Powell.
The incident reportedly happened on January 11, 2016 according to KTLA News. Nakasia James was allegedly on the run when she posted a Facebook update in which she said she had stabbed Dorian to death in the midst of a scuffle. An excerpt from the post read the following.
“Last night, my ex was drunk… was fighting me… hit me in the face… and I get the knife and stabbed him. Didn’t think I would hurt him. Sorry, lord, hopefully you forgive me, and sorry, Dorian Powell. RIP.”
She also said she was on the run and that the police were looking for her. Naksia also seemed realistic about her prospects about being finally caught.
Nakasia Macc James was finally arrested by the San Bernardino Police on Sunday – well over a week since the death of Dorial Powell. The police reportedly received a tip off about Nakasia presence after which she was arrested from an unknown location. Officials are now questioning her regarding the circumstances in which the murder took place.
Following the scuffle, Dorian Powell was allegedly stabbed to death by Nakasia after which she fled the seen. His body was found on Monday morning inside the San Bernardino apartment after a person called them up to report that that a man was repeatedly stabbed by his girlfriend.
Officers soon reached the apartment located in 2000 block of North Central Avenue. They found Powell lying there with injuries consistent to that of a stabbing attack. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The San Bernardino Police Department later said that the death was related due to a “domestic disturbance” inside the home. The statement from the police read the following.
“Nakasia is aware that she is being sought in connection with this homicide. At this time it does appear to be related to a domestic disturbance inside the apartment.”
The Facebook post in which Nakasia admitted to killing Powell has since been removed. It is currently unclear if the status was deleted altogether or its visibility was changed. At the time of drafting this article Nakasia’s Facebook profile remains active. In the update, Nakasia writes that Powell was drunk at the time of the incident and that he tried to hit her and even managed to hit her in the eye. In the heat of the moment, she picked up whatever she could pick up – in this case, a knife, and stabbed him. Nakasia claimed she never thought she would end up killing powell.
Officials are tight-lipped about Nakasia’s Facebook post at this moment.
