After Brock Lesnar wrestled The Undertaker for the third, and most likely, the final time back at October’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, Lesnar’s WrestleMania opponent became a mystery. It was previously thought that “The Beast” would end up having his third and final match with “The Deadman” on WWE’s grandest stage this coming April, and perhaps, at one point, that was the plan.
There have been a number of rumored opponents for Lesnar at WrestleMania 32 – guys like The Rock, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and Roman Reigns have all been named as guys who may end up facing Lesnar this spring. But, Steve Austin has made it clear that, while he’s planning on being at the show, he’s not wrestling . As for The Rock, well, it’s become apparent that he probably won’t be wrestling on the show either, and most are assuming that he’ll end up cornering Roman Reigns in his match against Triple H.
On this past Monday’s RAW , Lesnar destroyed a handful of WWE superstars in the main-event segment, including Roman Reigns, which has led many people to believe that the two will have a rematch at some point this year, but, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer , Reigns vs. Lesnar 2 won’t be taking place until after WrestleMania 32 .
Brock Lesnar is being advertised for tonight’s RAW in Columbus, Ohio, which will be the final RAW show before Sunday’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view, where Lesnar will be one of thirty WWE superstars in the Rumble match, which will be for Roman Reigns’ WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Chris Jericho, who just returned to WWE television several weeks ago, is also being advertised for Monday’s RAW , and while “Y2J” has been working with The New Day – Kofi Kingston, Big E, and Xavier Woods – since his return, it appears that the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion will be working with someone else on Monday, and that someone is Brock Lesnar.
According to WWE’s Australian Twitter account, Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman will be appearing on Chris Jericho’s Highlight Reel on Monday night, which may be a hint that Lesnar and Jericho are going to have a match at some point in the near future.

Jericho and Lesnar had a brief confrontation with one another in December of 2014, when Jericho was the guest host of RAW . “Y2J” was supposed to have a match with Paul Heyman, but, of course, Lesnar ran in, and laid out Jericho with an F-5.
As of this writing, we don’t know who either Chris Jericho or Brock Lesnar’s WrestleMania opponent will be, but usually WWE likes to setup their WrestleMania storylines leading into, and at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. So Lesnar going face-to-face with Jericho on Monday could be a good indication that the two of them will be involved with one another going forward, and it’s possible that Jericho could be the one who eliminates Lesnar from the Rumble match, which would setup a one-on-one match between the two at a future show.
In the past, Jericho has made it clear that he will not return to WWE television unless WWE has an opponent for him that is “Chris Jericho-worthy,” and Brock Lesnar certainly fits that bill.
It’s worth noting that both Brock Lesnar and Chris Jericho are being advertised for the WWE Fastlane show in February, which is the final pay-per-view before WrestleMania 32 . So there’s a possibility that “Y2J” vs. “The Beast” may end up taking place at WWE Fastlane instead of at WrestleMania 32 .
