Guy Ritchie Needs To Get Rocco Home – Despite What He Thinks of Madonna’s Parenting
Guy Ritchie has been enjoying the company of his son, Rocco, since before Christmas, but Rocco’s mother, Madonna, wants him to come home.

Rocco refuses to go back to the U.S., although Madonna and Ritchie are due for a court hearing in New York on February 3. People interviewed a divorce lawyer (not one involved with the case) to find out what might happen. Apparently, if Guy Ritchie isn’t at least making an effort to get Rocco home for the hearing, he might be damaging his chances at gaining custody.
“I would be asking if Mr. Ritchie bought Rocco a plane ticket. I wonder what he has communicated to Madonna to let her know he’s trying his best to get Rocco back to New York. If he can’t show he is making a significant effort, he has a long road ahead of him.”
As for getting a teenager to do something he doesn’t want to do, everyone, including the courts, knows that is difficult.
“The courts know how difficult it is to get a teenager to do what he wants to do, which as a practical matter gives the child a louder voice than maybe he should have. Sometimes you’re creating more problems than you solve by trying to force a teenager to do what they don’t want to.”
And if Rocco shows up in the New York court and the judge tells him to go home with his mom?
“But, you have a 15-year-old who apparently has some wherewithal and apparently a mind of his own. So judges can be extremely persuasive and probably can still impress upon a 15-year-old what that 15-year-old needs to do. I would suspect that when the judge would tell Rocco, ‘you are leaving now with your mom’ that would happen, but what happens when Rocco gets home with his mom? That’s anybody’s guess.”

People also reports that a source close to Guy Ritchie has said Ritchie has problems with Madonna’s parenting style and he is concerned Rocco won’t grow up with a good amount of confidence.
“He wants Rocco to have the confidence he lacked growing up and thinks Madonna’s stern parental style is counterproductive. The welfare of Rocco is Guy’s priority.”
However, a friend of both Madonna and Guy Ritchie has said that the custody battle is more about the power struggle that exists between the two.
“They don’t have a good relationship; it’s more of a power fight between them and if he can one-up her. This is the best way he can do it.”
Madonna has said how much she misses her son and she has posted throwback pics on Twitter that express that love.

It’s hard to say what will happen in the custody battle over his son, but when it comes to his work, Guy Ritchie has a better handle on things. Even so, Lawyer Herald reports that release of the upcoming movie Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur has been postponed.
Guy Ritchie is directing the movie and it will star Charlie Hunnam as King Arthur. The release date of the movie has been pushed back to February, 17, 2017, which is six months later than the original release date. It is also President’s Day in the U.S. Apparently, this was a “strategic business decision” on the part of Warner Bros.

Guy Ritchie will probably need the extra time in his movie-making schedule to deal with his custody woes. Flying back and forth from New York in and of itself will be time consuming. It is hoped that in the end, whatever is best for Rocco will be the final decision.
