Tila Tequila Promises To Call Everyone Who Donated To Her GoFundMe
Flat earth supporter Tila Tequila has promised to personally call everyone who donated to her GoFundMe campaign for a new apartment and furniture.
Tila raised almost $3,500 in six days to pay for a new apartment complete with new furniture and bedding and has now promised to personally contact her supporters when she returns from Las Vegas.
“Please do me a favor, and leave me your name and number for those of you who donated so that I may call you when I return.”
With her third GoFundMe update, Tequila announced donations had topped her goal of $2,500 and said she was so happy to move into her new home that she would be calling supporters as soon as she returned. She’s currently filming in Las Vegas, but has promised to personally phone supporters during the first week of February.
“I was about to lose hope and faith in humanity again after reading some of the horrid comments, but I felt in my heart that GOD led me here, and to believe that LOVE CONQUERS ALL!”
After a backlash from critics who condemned the former MTV star for asking for money, Tila responded by tweeting that people should give her money just because she asked for it, reports the International Business Times.
After her first post was taken down, Tequila reposted a more serious plea for donations to help her and her daughter move from their $4,500 a month furnished apartment to a less expensive home. She noted that since her new home won’t be furnished, she would need money for furniture, too.
Tila originally asked for $10,000 with her second post, but she later lowered her requested donation total.
“Being a single mother without any support from the father, it can sometimes be very tough taking care of 2 people with only a 1 person income.”
We’re not sure why Tila’s first post was taken down, but it may have had something to do with her crazy flat earth Twitter rant.
“I have been defeated by the Government and their bio-weapon attacks against me for the past few years ever since I got assassinated, and killed in 2012 then was replaced with a clone!”
Not everyone was pleased with Tila Tequila asking for money from strangers and many of the 660 comments ridiculed her for asking for money while being a celebrity.
“You have money for makeup, breast implants, and clothes, but not for rent?”
Others said being a single mother was no excuse for begging and Tila needed to find employment before resorting to a GoFundMe account.
“Get a job. being a single mother with no support is not an excuse.”
Tila made headlines recently with her flat earth Twitter rant when she said the moon was placed in the sky by aliens and she herself was resurrected as a robot clone after she died in 2012.
Tila Tequila was born Tila Nguyen and worked as a model before going on to host her own television show A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila featuring 16 men and women fighting for Tila’s affections. She went on to move into the Celebrity Big Brother house, but was kicked out after only one day after producers discovered pictures of her in a Nazi uniform hat.
If you would like a personal phone call from Tila Tequila, it’s not too late to donate to the fund for her new home.
