Orlando Bloom Deported From India
Orlando Bloom was due to visit the Taj Mahal in India in December 2015, but his trip ran into a hitch when he arrived in the Delhi airport. The Guardian reports that although Bloom’s trip was sponsored by the Taj Mahal, and he was actually invited by the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh state, when he arrived in Delhi, Orlando Bloom was denied entry into India.
Apparently, Orlando Bloom’s e-visa hadn’t cleared so officials wouldn’t let him into the country.

Amar Singh, who was sent to pick Bloom up at the airport, said the immigration officials were not very friendly with regard to the situation.
“The immigration officials were insensitive and stubborn, and though Bloom was feeling uneasy and needed a doctor he wasn’t even allowed to sit. They kept saying, ‘Bloom is an actor, so he is doing drama.'”
The Indian immigration officials even refused to give Orlando Bloom a temporary landing permit, which would allow him to be in the country for 72 hours, the time needed to conduct his visit.
“But Bloom is so humble and down-to-earth… Even though he was being deported from India, he readily agreed to fly back from Heathrow the same day if I succeeded in arranging his visa. No Bollywood star would’ve done that.”
Orlando Bloom flew back to Heathrow Airport, waited there for his e-visa to clear (something the Indian foreign minister arranged), and flew back the same day. He got his tour of the Taj Mahal and Singh said at the end of the tour, Bloom took some time by himself.
“At the end of his visit, he moved away from the group and sat by himself cross-legged in front of the 17th-century marble monument, eyes closed, chanting a prayer.”
There was a lot of Twitter activity around Orlando Bloom’s visit to India, though not on his own account.

Feel sorry for Orlando Bloom. First the visa fracas, now he has to visit the Taj Mahal with Amar Singh for company. #Facepalm

Apparently, Amar Singh isn’t terribly popular.
Fortunately for Orlando Bloom, Katy Perry isn’t as uptight as the Indian immigration officials. Us Weekly reports that at the Golden Globes after-party on Sunday night, Bloom spotted Katy Perry and the two of them had a great time on the dance floor. A source revealed it was a fabulous dance-off.
“Katy and Orlando Bloom had a total dance-off — it was the best part of the party. Katy literally dropped to the floor and was waving her booty around, beckoning Orlando.”
Apparently, Perry had been flirting with Orlando Bloom at the Netflix and Harvey Weinstein party that was held earlier that evening.
“He would lean in to whisper into her ear and touch the small of her back as they chatted.”

Orlando Bloom is a bit of a wild one and is known for his crazy moves. New York Magazine reports that on New Year’s Eve, he was into head-butting and managed to bloody his head while on the dance floor. Apparently, head-butting is a thing for Bloom, who was known to do it on the set of the Lord of the Rings. Viggo Mortensen said it was a daily occurrence.
“It went to such an extreme that it became a daily ritual.”
Elijah Wood decided it must have something to do with expressing love.
“I don’t know where that comes from. You know what, I think it’s spontaneous, violent love.”
As for Orlando Bloom, he just said it was a fantastic, foolish idea.
“It was a sort of, um, really ridiculous, fantastically foolish idea to walk up to one another, clasp the face of the opposite person, say something sweet and endearing and then smash your head against theirs.”
