Justin Bieber Cited for Speeding At 80 MPH in Los Angeles [video]
Pop super-star Justin Bieber was pulled over just a short while ago while speeding on the Los Angeles 101 Freeway, Gossip Center reports. The witness to Bieber’s car speeding at nearly 100 MPH in his Fisker Karma just happened to be city councilman Dennis Zine who told TMZ that Bieber should have been “cuffed, locked up and stripped of driving privileges,” for his dangerous driving speed. Zine was an LAPD motor officer for 18 years before becoming an elected official. According to Zinn, Justin Bieber was attempting to ditch a group of paparazzi.
“Bieber was driving like a maniac. He was weaving in and out of traffic. There was hardly any space between cars as he weaved from lane to lane,” Councilman Zinn told TMZ. “If I was on patrol, I would have arrested him for reckless driving. I was gong 60 and he drove by me like he was in a rocket ship. He was a maniac.”
The chasing paparazzi were reportedly behaving in an equally irresponsible manner, driving on the shoulder of the Los Angeles freeway. After Bieber was pulled over by law enforcement officers, at least four paparazzi “swarmed” the singer’s car taking photos.
The Bieber camp is already working on damage control. His manger Scooter Braun told TMZ that Zine is “just a councilman looking for a headline.” Braun claims that Bieber was cited for going 80 MPH and the pop singer called 911 shortly after getting back behind the wheel with his citation because the paparazzi immediately resumed hot pursuit. An investigation into the possible creation of a hazardous situation by the paparazzi is under investigation by CHP.
