Jason Statham Doesn’t Like To Be Corrected: See What Happened At The Golden Globes

Jason Statham has apparently popped the question to long-time girlfriend Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. When the couple showed up at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, Huntington-Whiteley was sporting a huge diamond. Us Weekly reports the news, saying Huntington-Whiteley looked stunning on the arm of her fiancé.

Huntington-Whiteley previously spoke about her relationship with Jason Statham, gushing about how he is her best friend.

“We’re best mates. He makes me laugh every day. I almost feel like I never had a proper boyfriend before!”

However, according to what Huntington-Whiteley said, marriage wasn’t a priority for the couple, which means she was probably surprised when Jason Statham popped the question and presented her with her huge diamond.

“For any couple that’s been together for a certain amount of time, there’s a massive amount of pressure to get married. I totally believe in marriage, but being in a happy relationship is much more important to me… [Kids are] something that’s more realistic in the near future.”

E! News reports Huntington-Whiteley also spoke about having children last April.

“Having a family is something I think about for sure, and whether I’d live here in America or in England. But it’s not always as simple as that… I have no idea what will happen, but it’ll be interesting to find out, right? And nothing will be perfect, I’m sure.”

Apparently, she doesn’t have too much of a problem with the idea of marriage, seeing as though she said yes to Jason Statham’s proposal. And it wouldn’t be surprising if there is baby news in the not-so-distant future. In the meantime, Jason Statham and his fiancé are just enjoying each other’s company and basking in the glow of engagement.

The Daily Mail reports that the couple just returned from a New Year’s trip to Thailand, where they had a few days to bask in the sun and enjoy the cool ocean breeze.

While away, Jason Statham acted as photographer for a photo session of his bride-to-be. Posing in nothing more than a sports bra and a pair of panties, Huntington-Whiteley posted the pic on Instagram. Her caption is priceless.

Besides a trip to Thailand and showing off his beautiful fiancé at the Golden Globe Awards, Jason Statham acted pretty tough onstage when he, Melissa McCarthy, and Paul Feig introduced their movie Spy. UpRoxx reports that Statham started off by saying he wrote, directed, and produced the movie and that he played the character Susan Cooper. When he was corrected by Feig, who actually wrote and directed the movie, Jason Statham put him in a headlock.

Jason Statham is a funny, albeit tough, guy. The International Business Times reports that it has been confirmed that Statham will reprise his role in Furious 8, which he will film in Cuba alongside Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel. Choosing Cuba as a filming location is significant in light of the recent improvement in diplomatic relations between Cuba and the United States.

In addition, the Day Herald reports that The Expendables 4 will begin shooting soon for a 2017 release, and Jason Statham will reprise his role in that film, as well. Pierce Brosnan is said to be joining the cast of The Expendables 4.

Clearly, Jason Statham will have a year full of movie-making and wedding planning as he settles into life as a husband-to-be. One thing is for certain, Statham will have his hands full in a good way, and he is sure to love every minute of it.
