‘The Vampire Diaries’ Stars Ian Somerhalder And Nina Dobrev Reunited At Golden Globes Afterparty

While many stars celebrated an evening of success during the 2016 Golden Globes, one former couple had a short reunion during the night’s festivities. According to Perez Hilton, Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder and his wife, Nikki Reed, ran into his former co-star Nina Dobrev during the after party.

Although details about the reunion are unknown, the idea of Somerhalder and Dobrev back together again certainly had fans of the hit series in a frenzy. However, for those who are still holding out hope that Somerhalder and Dobrev will get back together, there is no indication that the two will be getting back together anytime soon.

If anything, the opposite is true, as Somerhalder appeared more than happy walking down the red carpet with Reed. Furthermore, the two looked absolutely gorgeous together and gave no hints that anything was amiss in their marriage.

Reed wore a beautiful gold patterned dress for the affair, complete with a variety of silver swirls. For his part, Somerhalder chose a simple and clean look that included a sleek black tux complete with bow tie.

At the same time, Dobrev was equally stunning as the actress stopped for cameras on her way to the ceremony. Dobrev’s outfit included a flowing pink gown with cap sleeves and matching red purse. The only thing missing for Dobrev was the presence of her current boyfriend, Austin Stowell, who did not attend the ceremony.

According to Pop Sugar, Somerhalder and Reed were joined by a number of different Vampire Diaries cast members for a special photo op. This included the likes of Kat Graham and Paul Wesley, all of whom took the time to pose together for photos prior to the award ceremony.

Meanwhile, the meeting between Somerhalder and Dobrev follows the latter’s departure from the hit series after the last season. For those that don’t know, Somerhalder and Dobrev were in a relationship for over three years until deciding to end things back in 2013. Despite ending their relationship, the two are reportedly still good friends.

While Ian Somerhalder has since moved on with his life and married Reed, Dobrev recently entered a relationship with Stowell. Although the Dancing With the Stars judge was not at the Golden Globes, Kpopstarz is reporting that the two were recently spotted together celebrating Dobrev’s birthday.

The two celebrated the former Vampire Diaries’ 27th birthday at a special venue in Hollywood over the weekend. The theme of the party was emoji, with Dobrev dressing up as a cat.

“Nina and her boyfriend were super cute,” an inside source revealed. “They were snapping pics on their phone and in the photo booth. They seem super happy together, and they have a really genuine connection. They kissed and held hands a few times, but he gave her her space and took a step back to watch her enjoy her special night with her closest friends.”

Other celebrities at the party included Nick Jonas, Adam DeVine, Hailee Steinfeld, Julianne Hough, Chase Crawford, Seth MacFarlane, and Derek Hough, all of whom were dressed in various emoji character costumes. It isn’t known what each of these stars wore for the event, but it sounds as though everyone had a great evening at the party.

Although fans are not likely to see Dobrev and Somerhalder back together again in real life, they can watch Somerhalder on The Vampire Diaries in its new time slot on Friday nights. As the show continues its seventh season on The CW and looks toward the future, perhaps there is a chance that Somerhalder and Dobrev will reunite on screen one more time.
