Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth Rekindling Their Love In Australia?
Miley Cyrus has again fueled rumors of reuniting with former fiancé and The Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth as she extended her vacation in his native country of Australia.
The former couple were first spotted together at a New Year’s Eve party thrown by Liam Hemsworth’s family, which had a Wild West theme. According to Vanity Fair, Miley Cyrus was dressed in full cowgirl attire with a red jacket and beige cowgirl hat. After spending a few low-key days together, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth were again spotted on last Sunday at the Byron Bay Falls Music Festival
Byron Bay, Australia is the home town of the Hemsworth family, and it is just south of Brisbane on the East coast. Brother Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa reside in Byron Bay, while eldest brother Luke Hemsworth and his wife Samantha live in Melbourne, in the south of Australia.
At the Byron Bay Falls Music Festival, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth were seen in the VIP area with Liam’s brothers and their wives. While backstage, the group spent their time chatting and drinking and looking quite at ease with each other.
Further into the evening, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth joined the crowd for electronic music group Disclosure. There were multiple reports of the possible reunited couple looking very cozy with each other, but due to tight security, nobody was permitted to take pictures of either Miley Cyrus or Liam Hemsworth.
The trip to Australia for Miley Cyrus was supposed to be short, but she has since extended it. Miley Cyrus was scheduled to perform the song “Hands of Love” from the movie Freeheld (2015), starring Julianne Moore and Ellen Page, but was unable to make the event. At a party on Tuesday night, songwriter Linda Perry, who wrote the song for the movie, took to the stage and according to Vanity Fair, explained to the crowd that Miley Cyrus was absent because she was still in Australia. Luckily, Linda Perry was able to call in a few favors, and Christina Aguilera and Courtney Love were able to replace Miley Cyrus to perform “Hands of Love.”
In addition to revealing Miley Cyrus’s current location, Linda Perry spoke highly of the pop star. Linda Perry admitted that before she began working with Miley Cyrus on the song, she “was expecting a [expletive] hurricane.”
Instead, Miley Cyrus defied her expectations.
“She came in all chill, ready to be of service, sang the song like three times and was like, ‘Linda, do you need anything else?’ She was so generous with her time. She was so sweet. I’m a huge fan now because of that.”
Miley Cyrus has kept quiet about her trip to Australia. Her normally active Instagram account has been relatively silent. As Billboard reports, the biggest update that she has posted was a video of her covering the Lana Del Rey song “Video Games.” The song had been stuck in Miley Cyrus’s head, and so she took the opportunity to post a fuzzy video of herself performing the song.
Although Miley Cyrus is only 23 and Liam Hemsworth 25, their relationship lasted four years. It began on the set of the Nicholas Sparks adaptation, The Last Song in 2009, and in June 2012 they were engaged. However, a year later in September 2013, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth announced that they had broken up.
Without Liam Hemsworth at her side, Miley Cyrus has been an erratic mess. After hosting the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards and Saturday Night Live, Miley turned up her alternative side with several lewd photographs and one crazy performance at James Franco’s Bar Mitzvah. Her eight-city tour for the Milky, Milky Milk Tour has also been an outlet for her bizarre behavior in 2015, the Inquisitr reported.
