Reality TV star Kim Kardashian and her husband, Kanye West, have been receiving a deal of criticism over the last week or so. Back on New Year’s, Kardashian set the internet ablaze by dressing her 2-year-old daughter, North West, in a real fur coat estimated to be worth a cool $3,500. Kardashian posted a picture of her little daughter dressed in fur and sucking on a lollipop. Kardashian added the caption “swag” to the picture.
The Daily Mail reported that by choosing to dress her little daughter in real fur, Kardashian stepped into a seemingly unexpected wave of criticism. It seems hard to believe that Kardashian failed to anticipate that wearing of fur would attract criticism from fans and animal rights campaigners alike.
Kardashian’s post may have attracted 1.5 million “likes” on Instagram, but Kim was widely slammed for her fashion decision. Many of Kim’s fans pointed out the cliche that “furs look good on animals, not on people.” It’s not like Kardashian isn’t aware that the wearing of fur is controversial — after all, Kim’s husband, Kanye West, was criticised in the past for wearing furs. Of course, Kanye responded in typical fashion when he dismissed the concerns of animal rights campaigners by saying that wearing fur “makes me feel like a f****ng rock star.” Some upset Kardashian fans even pointed out that North West’s outfit was probably worth more than their house.
In what appears to be a response to the fur controversy, it appears that Kim and Kanye are willing to make what can only be described as the most bizarre of compromises. According to the Mirror, Kim and Kanye have stated that they will only wear furs from animals that are “ethically sourced.”
Bizarrely, it is claimed that Kardashian and West will only wear furs from animals that have been killed on the nation’s highways. Yes, you heard that right: Kim and Kanye are going to wear roadkill. According to the Mirror, a source has told the Star that Kim doesn’t want to upset animal rights campaigners.
“Kim doesn’t want to upset anti-fur fans, especially by the way she dresses North, so everything is going to be replaced with a new roadkill wardrobe.”
It seems that Kardashian and West really do not understand the issues at play. Campaigners do not want to see high-profile celebrities wearing animal skins in the name of fashion. It sets a bad example, it suggests that wearing furs is acceptable. Some people will look at Kardashian and say “well if Kim thinks its OK to wear fur, it must be OK.”
Of course, Kim is unlikely to be swayed by that sort of argument because she has stated in the past that it is fine for her to wear furs because “it’s my choice.”
Wait, what? @KimKardashian used a BODY DOUBLE for her maternity wardrobe?! https://t.co/mXJHHCo2Br pic.twitter.com/DLrXsMwVbS

In what is arguably an even more bizarre turn of events involving Kardashian, Bustle claims that Kim used a “body double” to try on maternity wear for her whilst she was pregnant with son Saint, who was born last month.
According to the Daily Mail, Kris Jenner reveals Kim’s bizarre secret in an upcoming episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
“[Kim] has somebody come over here and put a prosthesis on like a pregnant person and she makes them try on all of her clothes because she’s too tired to do it.”
It seems that Kardashian has absolutely no concept of what it is like to live in the real world. There seem to be no end to Kim’s vanity, and it seems that Kim is either too dumb or too crass to care what anyone else thinks about her tendency to excess.
