‘Once Upon A Time’ Spoilers: New Set Photos Tease Zelena, Underworld, And More

Once Upon a Time fans still have two months to wait for the series’ return, but the cast is back on set and filming new episodes for the second half of Season 5 now. There have been set photos that have been shared online that raise some interesting questions for the second half of Once Upon a Time Season 5.

Spoiler TV shared new set photos from this week, and fans can see Zelena having a conversation with Hades, who is played by the recently cast Greg Germann. Yes, this confirms earlier Once Upon a Time spoilers shared in a previous Inquisitr article that teased Zelena would end up in the Underworld with the others during the latter half of the upcoming episodes.

However, it is still not known how Zelena will die and land in the Underworld with the heroes and every other bad dead person they have ever interacted with. Spoilers have teased that an adult Dorothy will go after Zelena in Oz. Regina banished Zelena there before the end of the winter finale.

Will this adult Dorothy kill Zelena? That seems to be the case with these photos. The broken clock tower is shown in all of these set photos, so it is quite clear that Zelena is in the Underworld version of Storybrooke and not in the real Storybrooke. One tweet mentioned that the cast was filming Once Upon a Time Season 5 Episode 16 on January 6.

Fans will definitely need to tune in to watch how she lands in the Underworld during the second half of Once Upon a Time Season 5.

Zelena is not the only major villain the heroes will end up seeing in the Underworld. Peter Pan is also residing there, and Robbie Kay is returning to the series in the role. He teased a bit more about his return to Once Upon a Time in a recent interview according to EnStarz.

“I’m not sure how much I can say, but it’s going to be a refreshing kind of spin on the character. You’re going to see a little bit in a different light. Obviously a lot has happened in the two or so years since we saw him. A lot has happened, I think he’s learned from what has happened in Season 3. There might be a little remorse. It makes him more interesting, I think. There’s a little bit of a redemption factor in there for him now.”

Peter Pan is not the only person that will change during his time in the Underworld. Hook may have just arrived to the dark place, but he will change as well.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Adam Horowitz teased a bit about what happened to Hook after he left Storybrooke in the midseason finale for Once Upon a Time.

“He’s gone through a lot, as has Emma — as have all of them — so no one’s the same.”

There is good news though. There is no darkness left inside him or Emma. Rumpelstiltskin took all of that into himself with his plan. He is now completely the Dark One once again.

ABC has confirmed that Once Upon a Time will return to Sunday nights on March 6. That is about two months away, so fans still have some time to wait.

During the last five seasons, Once Upon a Time has been a hit for ABC, and there is no end in sight yet. However, the series has not yet been picked up for Season 6. Fans will need to wait to find out the show’s fate as it gets closer to May.
