Phaedra Parks, Demetria McKinney And Carmon Cambrice Visit Kandi Burruss And Baby In Hospital

Despite what is airing on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kandi Burruss and Phaedra Parks are still friends, at least friends enough for Phaedra to visit Kandi and her new baby in the hospital. Accompanying Phaedra on the visit was Demetria McKinney, Carmon Cambrice, and two other friends. On Thursday, Kandi posted a photo of the group visit.

Kandi wrote that they had a party in the hospital. The photo shows the women surrounding Kandi, who is lying on her hospital bed and cradling her son, Ace. Phaedra is sitting on the bed next to Kandi.

“Had to bring Kandi some of my ‘famous’ chicken salad and croissants…Baby Ace is adorable…”

Kandi Burruss and her husband, Todd Tucker, announced the birth of their son on Wednesday morning. On Thursday, Kandi told E! News that they named their son Ace Wells because they wanted something unique and Ace represents the number one. As for the middle name Wells, Kandi said they chose it to honor Todd’s late mother, whose maiden name was Wells. Ace came out weighing in at 7 pounds, 6 ounces.

If Todd was in the hospital room when Phaedra was there visiting Kandi, there may have been some awkward moments between them. After all, the two are currently engaged in some drama on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. On the latest episode, Todd and Phaedra had a one-on-one meeting to discuss the money owed on a prenatal fitness DVD that Todd worked on for Phaedra years ago.

Todd, as he said in previous episodes, said that Phaedra never sent him the final payment, amounting to $8,500, for the work that he did. Phaedra — who previously told co-star Porsha Williams that she already paid Todd thousands of dollars and never received a final product that she could put out on the market — countered that when Todd asked for the final payment, she was going through a lot of stress with Apollo Nida going to prison and having to raise their two young sons alone. By the end of the tense meeting, while Phaedra still didn’t write a check for the full amount, she and Todd did come to an agreement on what else needed to be done on the project.

In their respective interviews, Todd Tucker And Phaedra Parks threw some digs at one another. Phaedra’s comments were particularly harsh since she made light of Todd’s career and said that he’s being financially supported by Kandi. Phaedra said that Todd must be asking for money since “his weekly allowance from Ms. Kandi isn’t keeping him afloat anymore.” Phaedra then teased that she’s the one who determines when Todd gets paid.

“It’s my name on this video, so I’ll be the one to say when it’s done and then Todd can get his check.”

Todd didn’t buy Phaedra’s explanation for why she hasn’t paid.

“Phaedra can’t pay me because she’s a single mother? Come on! Get out of here! Cut the check and stop playing.”

Kandi, herself, threw some digs at Phaedra when she told Porsha Williams that she’s being suckered in by Phaedra’s sob story.

“I feel like both of ya’ll are full of s***…You are believing the mother f***ing hype…[Phaedra] wanted [Apollo] to be gone even before he went, before he even left to go to jail. She was really not that sad okay? Girl, please stop trying to do the pity party with me. Don’t.”

Kandi then admitted to Porsha that she’s not sure that her friendship with Phaedra will be back to what it was. In an interview, Kandi pretty much called Phaedra a manipulator who is concerned about her image.

“Phaedra is an attorney so she knows how to manipulate the situation. She likes to, you know, keep her image. But just don’t do it at my expense.”

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, both Todd Tucker and Kandi Burruss responded to Phaedra Parks insulting Todd’s career and some viewers’ criticism that Todd waited until after Apollo was in prison to ask for his money. Phaedra, in turn, claimed that Todd is attacking her character and provided more details on their dispute, including the fact that she actually wrote him a check for half the amount owed at the end of their meeting. The drama between the trio continues on next week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, as a preview shows Kandi’s mom, Mama Joyce, inserting herself into the situation.
