WWE Rumors: ‘Royal Rumble’ Plans Revealed For Brock Lesnar And How Long He Will Stay On WWE TV
Even though he did wrestle at a house show in December, Brock Lesnar hasn’t been seen on WWE television since late October. On Monday Night Raw, his return was announced and it’s happening in just a couple days, but is he disappearing again shortly after that? Not only are plans in place for the next few months for Lesnar, but rumor has it that he’s going to be in the WWE Title match at the Royal Rumble.
On the same night that Lesnar’s return to WWE TV was announced, Vince McMahon also made another big announcement. He revealed at the end of Raw that the Royal Rumble match would not be for a main event shot at WrestleMania 32, but for the WWE World Heavyweight Title itself.
Yes, Roman Reigns will have to put his belt on the line against 29 other superstars, and one of them may end up being Brock Lesnar. It is known that Lesnar is going to be at the Royal Rumble, but no one has known what his role would be.
WWE.com isn’t advertising him on the Live Events page for the big pay-per-view, but he will be there. Chances are, fans will learn his involvement when he is on Raw this Monday, but it may have already been spoiled.
According to the Wrestling Observer, a recent TV spot for the Royal Rumble aired and said that Lesnar was going to be an entrant in the rumble match.
There has been no indication or word that Lesnar would be entering the rumble match, but rumors have said he would be. TV spots are often known to say things that aren’t set in stone yet, and as always, the card is subject to change.
Only 10 names have been officially announced by WWE so far, and Lesnar’s name isn’t on that list.
- WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns
- Big Show
- Chris Jericho
- Curtis Axel
- Ryback
- Dolph Ziggler
- Bray Wyatt
- Braun Strowman
- Luke Harper
- Erick Rowan
20 more superstars will be added to the match by the time it rolls around in two weeks, but all won’t likely be announced. WWE always likes to have some surprises for this particular event, and of course, there is AJ Styles and the other NJPW wrestlers who could be in the company soon.
Lesnar could be a surprise too, but more will likely be known about his Royal Rumble status after next week’s Raw is over.
Now, many are wondering if Lesnar is going to disappear after this month’s PPV and then be off of WWE television for a month or two again. Well, the report from the Wrestling Observer continues that fans need to be prepared for a few months of the “Beast Incarnate.”
It’s guaranteed that Brock Lesnar is going to be a part of Royal Rumble and that he’s going to likely be a huge part of WrestleMania 32. Local Cleveland markets have now confirmed Lesnar to appear at WWE Fastlane on Feb. 21, according to Cleveland.com.
Per that report, both The Q (Quicken Loans Arena) and WWE have confirmed that Lesnar will be at the event. Chris Jericho, who just returned to WWE television this past week on Monday Night Raw as well, has also been confirmed for Fastlane.
With all of the injuries in WWE lately, the company looks as if they are trying to make sure fans know all of their upcoming events will be huge.
Brock Lesnar is going to be back in just a couple of days, and it is then that he and Paul Heyman will let the world know what the Royal Rumble plans are for the “Beast Incarnate.” Fans can be happy to know that Lesnar is going to be around for a few months and not disappearing again until probably after WrestleMania 32.
