Jenna Dewan-Tatum Gives Channing Tatum ‘Magic Mike’-Style Performance On ‘Lip Sync Battle’ Promo
Jenna Dewan-Tatum and her husband, Channing Tatum, are perhaps among the cutest of today’s Hollywood couples. Certainly, Tatum has been known for generating a fair amount of heat all his own, thanks to the Magic Mike movies. His wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, however, has been generating a fair bit of notice all her own, thanks to a recurring role on the CBS series Supergirl as the younger sister of Lois Lane, Lucy Lane. The upcoming Lip Sync Battle, which features Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Channing Tatum going head to head with lip sync performances, is going to change all that.
While Jenna Dewan-Tatum has been busy with her recurring role on Supergirl, according to Entertainment Weekly, Channing Tatum also plays Jody Domergue in the new Quentin Tarantino film The Hateful Eight, which was released on December 25, 2015.
Lip Sync Battle, which features hosts LL Cool J and Chrissy Teigen, just released new promotional videos, and Jenna Dewan-Tatum is clearly relishing her performance to Ginuwine’s “Pony.” At one point, the star is seen giving her husband a lap dance, guiding his hands over her toned body as he’s laughing in disbelief. It is a clear salute or tease — viewers can decide after they see the episode — to her husband’s similar performance in Magic Mike.
The fact that Jenna Dewan-Tatum can dance is no surprise to fans of the couple; she and Channing Tatum met while filming Step Up in 2006 and started dating when the film wrapped. They married in 2009.
What perhaps is a bit of a shocker is just how into the performance Jenna Dewan became. The actress is wearing clothes that clearly are a reminder of Tatum’s role in Magic Mike, according to the Daily Mail, and at one point, she dips her hand into her pants to make suggestive gestures.
What is clear from Jenna Dewan-Tatum’s routine is that she has completely regained her pre-baby body after having daughter Everly in 2013. She gives the audience a clear glance at her toned ab muscles as she dances her way across to her husband’s lap.

Channing Tatum’s dance to “Pony” in Magic Mike XXL was one of the more memorable performances of a film that garnered over $122 million in worldwide box office receipts, according to Box Office Mojo. While not the only noteworthy routine of the flick – Joe Manganiello’s impromptu performance inside a convenience store from the same movie has made the rounds several times on social media – it was clear that there would be no way that Jenna Dewan-Tatum would miss an opportunity to tease her husband with his own routine.
Entertainment Weekly reports that LL Cool J asked Jenna Dewan-Tatum, “Is this like a typical night at the Tatum household?”
Jenna Dewan-Tatum was quick to reply that the couple lap danced nightly, although it was clear that she was joking.
Not one to give up on a win, Channing Tatum channelled his inner Elsa as he hit the stage in full ice queen regalia to lip sync “Let It Go.”

“I just hope my marriage isn’t over after tonight,” Channing Tatum joked about going head to head with Jenna Dewan-Tatum, according to Cosmopolitan.
Channing Tatum’s Elsa routine, which featured snow falling from the ceiling in addition to white-clad dancers throwing glitter, seemed to stun Jenna Dewan-Tatum, who can be seen staring and shaking her head at her husband’s antics. Both Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum appear to be fearless in their song choices – and in their abilities to make each other and audiences laugh.
It is clearly going to be a “Tatum Takeover” on Lip Sync Battle tonight when the episode airs. With Jenna Dewan-Tatum channelling her husband’s Magic Mike routine in all its awesome sexiness, and Channing Tatum’s two possible gender-bending performances — he is rumored to take on Beyonce’s “Run the World” as well — it is clear that Lip Sync Battle has no intention of slowing anything down after a stellar first season.
