Lisa Vanderpump has nothing to hide and thinks that all topics are open to discussion on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills . In her blog post on Wednesday, Lisa reacted to Kyle Richards’ anger towards her for talking about Kim Richards’ shoplifting arrest and implying in an interview that she has secrets she wouldn’t want exposed.
In her blog, Lisa pointed out that when she made the decision to join the show, she embraced both the positives and the negatives, the negatives being that everything you do is in the public eye when you’re famous. Kim, by choosing to go on the show, should expect her actions to be a subject of conversation.
Lisa then pointed out that it was Kyle who actually brought up Kim’s name first in the conversation. As for Kyle’s threat in her interview that she could talk about things that Lisa would rather keep secret, Lisa said that she doesn’t have anything to hide.
“When Kim was a scandalous headline and Kyle initiated the subject drawing her name into the conversation, of course we should be at liberty to comment on it. I didn’t initiate the subject for sure and I don’t quite understand the hint that I had secrets to hide, or subjects that are off limits. I think for the most part Ken and I have been incredibly transparent, if I had skeletons I think you would know about them by now.”
In regards to some people’s opinion that she loves to highlight Kim’s misfortunes, Lisa said that she has always felt defensive of Kim. Lisa wrote that if someone like Kim were to one day try to leave her restaurant without paying the bill, she wouldn’t call the police but would remove her from the situation. Lisa said that the store calling the police and having Kim arrested was “a cheap shot.”
“So let’s say, hypothetically, somebody I recognized and knew to be challenged with addiction tried to leave without paying the bill in my restaurant, possibly the last thing I would do would be to call the police. It would be to gently, diplomatically remove them from situation, realizing their judgment was altered, not to humiliate them with dire consequences. I am not advocating she should be exempt from the law, but…obviously as she wandered out of Target with a trolley full of toys, all was not well with her and making it a public spectacle I believe was a cheap shot.”

On Tuesday night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills , a concerned Lisa Vanderpump called Kyle Richards upon learning that Kim Richards was just arrested for shoplifting $600 worth of merchandise from a Target store in Van Nuys. Kyle tearfully said that she was “so sick of it” and couldn’t talk.
Later, when the women were in the Hamptons, Kyle told Lisa V., Eileen Davidson, and Lisa Rinna that she has been having a very bad week and hasn’t slept because of what’s going on with Kim, which prompted the two Lisas to ask some questions about Kim.
“She needs a strong hand now doesn’t she?” asked Lisa V.
Lisa V. then added that Kim must not have been of sound mind to walk out of a Target store with $600 worth of toys without paying.
“Obviously, she’s not of sound mind,” Kyle said, before saying that she doesn’t want to talk about it.

In an interview, Kyle expressed exasperation that people wanted to talk about her sister.
“I heard about what happened with my sister on TMZ. My sister Kim right now is a very sensitive topic to me, and nobody seems to care. My sister’s name keeps coming up over and over and over again. It’s unf**king believable.”
Kyle Richards then said that she can spill secrets if she wanted to. What unsavory things about Lisa Vanderpump does Kyle know?
“Do you want me to talk about your stuff that you don’t want me to talk about? Because I can. If you want me to go there.”
Kim’s shoplifting incident took place in August 2015. In October 2015, E! News reported that Kim was sentenced to 36 months of probation, 300 hours of community service, and 52 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings for the shoplifting. She is also banned from visiting that specific Target location.
Kim Richards will appear on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in at least one episode later on in the season. The preview for the season shows Kim confronting Lisa Rinna about talking about her sobriety last season.
