‘Real Housewives’ Bethenny Frankel Ready To Do Booze Battle With Sonja Morgan

Real Housewives Bethenny Frankel is not taking any more guff from Sonja Morgan and her copycat company, Tipsy Girl. Frankel, whose company is Skinnygirl caught wind of Morgan trying to rip off her business venture, and took charge. Now Morgan is acting as if she is the victim, and insists that Frankel is a bully. It is a long way from toaster ovens, to a fashion line, and now to booze peddling for Sonja Morgan, but anything for a buck.

According to The Inquisitr , Sonja Morgan is genuinely puzzled as to why Bethenny Frankel has a problem with her proposed bubbly alcoholic beverage called Tipsy Girl. After all, Morgan is almost always the tipsiest girl on RHONY, so why should;t she peddle booze? But Bethenny Frankel has done the most in terms of scraping Morgan off the ledge, and convincing her to cut down on the mix of pharmaceuticals and alcohol. But Morgan seems to have no loyalty towards Frankel.

People Magazine went inside of the Real Housewives booze battle between Bethenny Frankel and Sonja Morgan. Morgan’s business partner, Peter Guimaraes’ says that Frankel is threatened by Tipsy Girl, but others are saying that naming their business in a way that is so similar is just a ploy to get publicity.

“[Frankel] is threatened by this Tipsy Girl brand, which is not a copycat nor competition for Skinnygirl,” he wrote to the newspaper. “We are not advocating that you will lose weight with our product.”

But like many of Sonja Morgan’s business ventures, Tipsy Girl is considered to be done halfway and in a hurry.

“This claim is not legitimate,” the source says of Guimaraes recent comments. “He attempted to register the name ‘Tipsy Girl’ for the restaurant, and his application was rejected because he sent in a picture of the bottle with a fake ‘Tipsy Girl’ label.”

Vanity Fair went inside the battle of the booze , and called Sonja Morgan “a tall-tale telling lush.” Morgan argued with a straight face that it’s absurd that anyone would see similarities between Skinnygirl and Tipsy Girl. Really? Hmmm.

Morgan seems to truly think that Frankel is threatened by her brand of Proseco, which is neither Italian (as Proseco is supposed to be) nor made by Morgan, the original Tipsy Girl (was drunk broad taken?). Vanity Fair suggested that Countess LuAnn de Lesseps put out a line of Schnapps mixers, tongue in cheek.

“You ever miss that sweet, stingin’ taste of sippin’ on hooch under the bleachers before gettin’ felt up by a sixth-year senior? Me too, which is why I invented Shitty Lady, for when you’re a lady who wants to get good and shitty.”

And now of course, Morgan is taking the next step according to the New York Daily News , and opening a restaurant to sell he fizzy wine. And what will it be called? Tipsy of course.

“She is opening a restaurant and hiring a producer and filmmaker to try to make a show based on it, like (“ The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ” star) Lisa Vanderpump,” dishes our insider. “It’s just that Lisa actually had a successful restaurant first, before Bravo came calling with a show.”

It seems that Morgan has no idea what it is like to start a business from scratch, and would rather just copy the businesses of others. According to the insider, Morgan thinks she can do a restaurant that is younger and hipper than anything Lisa Vanderpump owns.

“She (Sonja) wants it to be “Tipsy,” because she wants a younger, hipper version of Pump, a pretty garden restaurant in West Hollywood owned by Vanderpump. Vanderpump’s restaurant SUR is the subject of the hit Bravo series “Vanderpump Rules.”

Good luck with that Sonja.
