Kaitlyn Bristowe And Shawn Booth Update: How Is This ‘Bachelorette’ Couple Doing Now?
Last spring, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth fell in love on The Bachelorette. As The Bachelor 2016 season with Kaitlyn’s cast-off Ben Higgins begins Monday night, many fans are anxious to hear how Kaitlyn and Shawn are doing these days. What’s the latest from the couple?
Viewers will get to catch up a bit with Kaitlyn and Shawn Monday night during the Bachelor Live show airing after Ben’s premiere. Much like viewers got with the live after-show last summer with Bachelor in Paradise, Chris Harrison will be hosting the weekly show this winter with some franchise favorites stopping by for some fun.

Chris Harrison teased via Twitter that Ben, Kaitlyn, and Shawn would be on the first Season 20 Bachelor post-show along with Lauren Lapkus and Diablo Cody. Will Shawn and Kaitlyn have any big announcements to make, like an official wedding date? Bachelorette fans would love to see that be the case, but they may not want to hold their breath.
While Bristowe and Booth have not set a wedding date yet as far as fans know, the two do seem to be doing quite well together. Kaitlyn and Shawn are living together in Nashville, Tennessee, where Shawn has been based, and they have been together virtually non-stop since their Bachelorette finale aired. The two spent time separately briefly over the holidays, as Kaitlyn headed to Canada to be with her family, but they are back together again now.
Kaitlyn and Shawn recently did a big engagement photo shoot, and Brides shared the pictures and the scoop so far related to any wedding plans. These two have been saying for a while now that they would likely start serious planning after the New Year, and it seems that is still the case.
Bristowe says that “I truly believe we were meant to be together” and that their relationship “has only gotten better” since the cameras stopped rolling. Kaitlyn says that Shawn will be heavily involved in the wedding planning, and they are open to the idea of a televised wedding via ABC.
Although the network did not air Desiree Hartsock’s wedding to Chris Siegfried last year, nuptials between Bachelor in Paradise stars Lacy Faddoul and Marcus Grodd were incorporated into the Season 2 premiere last summer. Given that, fans may have reason to hope for a Bristowe and Booth televised special.
Kaitlyn says that her wedding will likely have some familiar faces in attendance whether it is televised or not, as she says she has remained close to both Becca Tilley and Whitney Bischoff and plans to have them in her wedding party. Shawn has remained close to some of the guys who he was with on the Bachelorette, so there will surely be some of them at the wedding when and if it happens too.
Shawn and Kaitlyn admit that very little has been formally planned at this point, but they want a focus on fun. Although fans will have to wait and see what kind of timeline comes together in relation to this wedding, it seems that the Bachelorette couple is already thinking about a family. As fans have seen, Bristowe and Booth do pamper Shawn’s dog Tucker a lot, but it sounds like Kaitlyn is already looking forward to the family-building phase of her relationship with Shawn.
Will Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth end up walking down the aisle? Bachelorette fans are certainly rooting for them, and everybody hopes they might get some tantalizing tidbits as Kaitlyn and Shawn head to the Bachelor Live show after Ben Higgins’ premiere episode Monday night.
