One Direction: Is Harry Styles Acting As A ‘Beard’ For Kendall Jenner? [Rumor]
Things are rarely dull in the world of Harry Styles and One Direction. In truth, stories featuring Styles sometimes border on the downright fantastic. Over the past few days sections of the media have been awash with Harry cozying up to reality TV star Kendall Jenner. Let’s face it once Harry is spotted with a member of the opposite sex you can immediately cue up the dating rumors and this time is no different. Styles watchers will be aware that over the new-year period Harry and his family were spotted aboard a super-yacht at the Caribbean islands of Anguilla and St. Barts.
Harry’s mom and sister were along for the break that saw Styles spending time with the family of music mogul Irving Azoff. Harry’s vacation had been a low key affair until Kendall and Kris Jenner appeared on the scene. As soon as the Jenners arrived, the media was swamped with pictures of Harry and Kendall aboard the yacht and we were treated to a host of “new romance” stories.
Long-time fans of Styles will no doubt recall that there were rumors in 2013 that harry was dating Kendall but those rumors died of quickly. On this occasion, the Daily Mail assures us that the romance between Harry and Kendall must be the real deal because both stars had their mom’s along for the ride. Seriously, how many people take their mom along when they are on a romantic break with a hot new girlfriend?
Somewhat oddly, the Mirror claimed yesterday that the romance between Harry and Kendall was already over. The evidence that this is the case amounts to a picture of Kendall drinking a coffee and looking “moody.”
Today the Mirror is claiming that Kendall is in fact gay and is infatuated with her longtime friend, model Cara Delevingne. Cara and Kendall even affectionately refer to themselves as “CaKe.” The U.K. tabloid claims that reports in OK! and Radar magazines have quoted a source who claims that Kendall is openly gay amongst her close friends.
“Kendall is a lesbian. She’s only just started talking about it with her inner circle.”
“[Cara] reassured Kendall that the stigma of being gay is gone and encouraged her to allow herself the freedom to be who she really is.”

Oddly no pictures of Harry have emerged since Kendall and her mother left the yacht. Some fans believe that this is because Kris Jenner arranged for photographers to be present so that they could photograph Kendall and Harry together.
Yahoo! Celebrity reports that the January 11 edition of OK! magazine features a double page spread “outing” Kendall.
Many of Harry’s fans are convinced that the One Direction star is gay or bi-sexual. Of course Styles is frequently linked with a beautiful woman. In the past it has been widely reported that Harry was dating Taylor Swift, Nadine Leopold, and most recently, model Georgia Fowler.
Many of Harry’s fans believe that these reported romances are “fake” romances designed by One Direction’s management team to cover up Harry’s sexuality. In slang terms these fake relationships have become known as “beards.” It has frequently been claimed that the women in Styles life were acting as “beards” so that One Direction’s management could maintain the image of Harry as a ladies man and thus cover his sexuality.
If Kendall is in fact gay, it seems that Harry may be returning the favor she did him in 2013. In a strange case of role-reversal Harry may be acting as Kendall’s beard.
As stated at the beginning of this article, when it comes to Harry Styles the world is often weird and wacky. Anything seems possible.
