‘RHOC’ Star Vicki Gunvalson ‘Struggling’ To Make Amends With Co-Stars After Brooks Ayers Fake Cancer Scam
Following a controversial season of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Vicki Gunvalson is having trouble making things right with her co-stars. Although the reality star gave a shout out to her fellow housewives in a recent Christmas message on Twitter, none of them responded back. Will Gunvalson be able to mend her relationships on the show, or will her part in Brooks Ayers’ cancer scam prove to be her undoing?
“Heather Dubrow, Tamra Barney, Shannon Beador, Meghan King Edmonds – Merry Christmas to you too. Here’s to a great 2016,” Gunvalson wrote in her latest post.
According to Star Pulse, all of the ladies mentioned in Gunvalson’s tweet were heavily involved in the controversy surround Ayers’ cancer. Even more, some of the ladies originally trusted Gunvalson when the drama surrounding Ayers first began to surface. However, after it finally was revealed that Ayers was lying about having cancer, many of the women on the show felt betrayed by Gunvalson’s lies.
One of the reasons why Gunvalson’s co-stars are still harboring bad feelings towards her is because of the support she showed Ayers throughout the entire season. As more proof began to surface about Ayers’ lies, Gunvalson remained firm in her support of Ayers. When the news eventually broke that Ayers was lying about having cancer, many of the women on the show began to question whether or not Gunvalson knew about the cancer scam all along.
While it is not known for sure how much Vicki Gunvalson knew about Ayers’ lies, many of her co-stars will not rest until they get a personal apology from Gunvalson or she is booted from the series. According to Radar Online, Gunvalson still feels the pressure of her current predicament but is doing everything she can to remain strong.
In fact, an inside source told the outlet that Gunvalson went through a really tough time following the end of the last season of RHOC, which included her eventual breakup with Ayers. With that in mind, the insider noted that while Gunvalson may seem like she has tough skin on the outside, the reality star was deeply affected by the entire ordeal, especially at the emotional level.
Although Gunvalson has not apologized in person, she did make a blanket apology for her actions during an interview on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. However, Gunvalson did not come out and admit how much she knew about Ayers’ lies and when she discovered for herself that he was not being truthful.
Despite the public apology, many of Gunvalson’s co-stars are still not satisfied. Apparently, some of them would like nothing more than to see Gunvalson kicked off the show.
“The women on that show are out for blood,” the source continued. “When they are against someone they are all extremely vicious. They went after Vicki to take her down and that is the bottom line.”
Considering Gunvalson’s latest shout-out on social media, it would appear as though she is trying her best to get some kind of response from her co-stars. Given their silence, it is clear that many of stars of The Real Housewives of Orange County are not ready to forgive Gunvalson just yet.
Whether or not Gunvalson is able to make amends with her co-stars is yet to be seen. At this point, it may never be revealed just how much Gunvalson knew about Ayers’ lies. Furthermore, even if Gunvalson apologizes to the other women on the show in person, the damage may be too great to repair. If that is the case, then Gunvalson’s time on the hit reality show is likely numbered.
