‘Batman V Superman’ Star Ben Affleck On The Verge Of A Breakdown Over Jennifer Garner Split?

Ever since they announced their divorce this past summer, the relationship between Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner has continued to have its ups and downs. With the couple’s divorce still not finalized, is the pressure to keep the family together proving too much for the Batman v Superman star?

According to Radar Online, Affleck is close to a mental breakdown because of all the drama surrounding his divorce with Garner. An inside source even went so far to tell the outlet that Affleck is starting to let himself go and is struggling with keeping himself together.

“Ben’s a shadow of his former self — bloated, down and completely torn over what to do,” the insider told the outlet.

Affleck is currently filming Live By Night, and while he remains busy on set, Garner is using the opportunity to delay the divorce proceedings in order to give him some time to get himself back in mental shape. Although her motivations for doing this aren’t clear, it appears as though Garner has hopes that their family will be able to remain together.

“Jen’s been using the delay to try and fix things,” the source continued. “Ben can’t believe she even wants to give him another chance after how he’s behaved but she feels she should because of the kids.”

Affleck and Garner announced their divorce this past summer following allegations that Affleck cheated on her with a former nanny. Ever since this announcement, more rumors have surfaced about Affleck being involved with a number of different actresses and going back to his partying ways.

That being said, the source went on to reveal that Garner is optimistic that Affleck will come back around for the sake of the family. However, her friends don’t exactly feel the same way and don’t believe that Affleck should even be given a second change.

“He’s burnt her so many times and her friends are urging her to not give him any more chances,” the source stated. “He’ll never change and he doesn’t deserve it.”

Meanwhile, Gossip Cop is reporting that Garner actually has no plans to get back with Ben Affleck. In fact, Garner is only delaying the divorce proceedings for the sake of family. In particular, the two stars are still working out their parenting plans and are trying to keep things as normal as possible for their young children.

This is one reason why the two recently took their kids to Colorado in order to spend Christmas together. Although some may have taken the trip as a sign that Affleck and Garner were mending their relationship, there is still no romance between them. Instead, the time the two spend together is strictly for the good of their family and nothing else.

At the same time, another report by Gossip Cop seems to shed some doubt on the breakdown rumors. An inside source close to Affleck told the outlet that the reports are “incorrect” and “ridiculous,” and that the actor is not having some sort of mental breakdown.

Apparently, Affleck is on the same page as Garner and has no plans to nullify the divorce and get back together. Like Garner, Affleck is just trying to do what is best for his children while he and Garner continue to go their separate ways.

Whatever the truth of the situation, the drama surrounding Affleck and Garner is not likely to go away until the two stars finally go through with the divorce proceedings. With the couple still being spotted out in public together, fans can hold on to a sliver of hope that the two might very well get back together.
