Rihanna Leaves Nightclub After Gunshots: Will She Release ‘Anti’ January 1? [Video]
Rihanna was reportedly forced to leave a Los Angeles area night club after gun shots were fired outside the venue. Rihanna was spending some time with Travis Scott and Ty Dolla $ign at Project Los Angeles nightclub when they were evacuated for their safety after a person pulled out a gun and fired a single shot. Five individuals were handcuffed, but none were arrested in the incident.
Rihanna, Travis Scott, and Ty Dolla $ign were reportedly quiet and calm as they exited the nightclub following the fired shot. Rihanna wore a black camouflage hooded jacket, ripped jeans, pink sneakers, and red lipstick to the club. She also wore her hair loose around her shoulders. There’s no word about what started the argument outside the very exclusive club, where even members on the guest list are not guaranteed entrance into the establishment.
According to the Daily Mail, the nightclub where the shots were fired is over 8,000 square feet and opened in 2014. It caters to A-listers like Rihanna, Travis Scott, and Ty Dolla $ign. It has light panels, projection televisions, and a laser display surrounding a DJ booth, and is only open a few nights each week.
Luckily, Rihanna was not hurt during the incident and was able to leave the area calmly in a black SUV, surrounded by her bodyguards.
Rihanna has been seen in local nightclubs promoting her new album, Anti, which caused quite the commotion over Christmas. It was rumored Rihanna would release Anti over the holiday, but the release has been achingly slow for her fans.
As part of the promotion for her new album, Rihanna reportedly signed a $25 million deal with Samsung to promote their line of Galaxy mobile phones. Rihanna fans could download an app, called ANTI-diaRy, that lets them into “rooms” as part of the Anti promotion. Rihanna recently unlocked the fifth room, with hopes to heighten anticipation for her latest album. There are reportedly eight total rooms as part of the ANTI-diaRy.
According to the Mirror, Rihanna got completely naked for her latest appearance in the app, and took a bath in milky white water. The latest video in the room is a collaboration between Rihanna, Samsung, and production company Punchdrunk to promote the Galaxy line of cell phones as well as Anti.
It’s not clear when Anti will be released, and according to singer/songwriter Sia, Rihanna has not even recorded all of the music for the album. Sia, who worked with Rihanna on the hits “Umbrella” and “Diamonds,” recently met with the celebrity to help her figure out songs for Anti.
Rihanna wants her new album to be completely fresh and different, and hopes to blow her fans away with the songs. According to Sia, she and Rihanna spent time listening to 25 different songs, and Rihanna left with four. Although Sia does not know if the songs will end up on Anti, it was clear that Rihanna has not yet completed the album.
“She was there to listen to songs and see if there was anything that she was into. It was a business meeting for sure. She took four (songs) but I don’t know if they’ll end up (on the album),” Sia explained to Entertainment Weekly.
Rumors started to circulate the album would be released on Christmas after the Today show in Australia tweeted that Rihanna planned “an extra special Christmas present.” The verified Twitter account indicated Rihanna would release the album on Christmas, although the tweet was quickly deleted, but not before the rumor spread worldwide.

Fans are now speculating Rihanna will drop Anti on January 1 to make it one of the first albums of 2016, although there’s been no indication from the artist that the album will be released on that date.
