Lady Gaga Given White Horse By Interscope Execs, Loves Her New Toy

Lady Gaga, the popular singer traditionally known for her outlandish, often non-traditional sense of style and perhaps even more wild presentation, has upped the ante in a big way. The 29-year-old singer has announced that she received a shiny new white pony-sized horse as a Christmas gift from her record label. The horse – replete with enough pink bows to make any young girl go “Gaga” – was delivered to Lady Gaga’s Malibu doorstep courtesy of Interscope executives John Janick and Steve Berman.

Lady Gaga posted the following on her Instagram account yesterday regarding her new friend, which has since been named White Angel.

The horse also bears a striking resemblance to the fake majestic white animal that Lady Gaga famously rode during her red-carpet entrance for the 2013 American Music Awards.

Unlike that 2013 gimmick horse, however, White Angel will require a little more care. Fortunately for Gaga and her assistants, she already had an on-property stable at her Malibu residence to give White Angel the perfect home, in addition to her chicken coop, per Billboard.

Just one day later, in fact, Lady Gaga was already taking her new toy – according to the UK Daily Mailalong a nearby coastal park cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean with her dogs Koji and Asia.

The news of Lady Gaga’s adoption of White Angel also, coincidentally, comes just days after Gaga wore a sheer, nearly see-through dress while out on a date with fiance Taylor Kinney in Los Angeles, no doubt to the delight of every single one of Lady Gaga’s fans. This dress – although it included heart-shaped pasties, a “loud” choker, and platform shoes – was similar in nature to the dress now famously worn by Lady Gaga’s recent collaboration partner Rihanna during the 2014 Council of Fashion Designers of America (C.F.D.A.) Fashion Awards, as discussed by The New York Post.

Both women’s looks, The Post noted, “shocked the fashion industry and the public” due to what the newspaper called an “extreme overexposure of skin.”

The “Poker Face” and “Born This Way” singer – and documented animal lover – however, has drawn way more criticism for wearing clothes than going out semi-nude. In a 2012 clashes with animal organizations such as P.E.T.A. over her choice to wear fur for fashion, for example, Pop Crush noted that Lady Gaga drew the ire of this animal-rights group for her decision to wear a pink fur thought to be made of mink-skin.

This controversy came about in spite of Gaga’s revelation around that time on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that “I hate fur, and I don’t wear fur,” prompting P.E.T.A. Senior Vice President Dan Mathews to issue the following statement.

“Recent photos of you in fox and rabbit and with a wolf carcass make it appear that you have amnesia. What happened? Are your stylists telling you that it’s fake, or are you a turncoat? Many gays are animal advocates because we recognize that the same arrogance and indifference that some have toward animal suffering has at times been directed toward us personally because of our orientation. By wearing those dumb furs in a heat wave, you’re making yourself a target just like the mindless Kim Kardashian. As we plan our fall campaigns, please tell us whether what you gracefully told Ellen was heartfelt or just a pose.”

Lady Gaga would subsequently return fire at the negative press regarding her fashion, via her Little Monsters website, making light of the matter saying “For those press and such who are writing about whether or not my fur is actually real, please don’t forget to credit the designer HERMES. Thank You!”

Regardless of this history of butting heads with the animal rights group, however, Lady Gaga seems determined to make the most of her new-found friendship with White Angel, her new – and much loved – “sweet girl.”
