‘Pretty Little Liars’ Introduces The Fiancées
Warning: This article may contain spoilers for Pretty Little Liars.
The return of Pretty Little Liars is fast approaching, and it will answer to some of the questions that have kept fans guessing throughout the hiatus. Even before the Season 6B premiere, however, news concerning changing love interests has been revealed to the dismay of many fans. While nothing is ever set in stone, the use of the word fiancée has many fans nervous about the five-year time jump.
Pretty Little Liars Reveals Who’s Engaged And Who’s Not
The big news, of course, is that Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) are no longer the hot ticket five years later. As Season 6B opens, Pretty Little Liars reveals that Hanna has, in fact, moved on from all things Rosewood and that includes grieving over the loss of her first true love.
It happened quite naturally in a way. As Hanna moved to Europe to cope with the end of her relationship with Caleb, she happened to meet Jordan, played by David Coussins. It wasn’t long before Hanna and Jordan hit it off. As the series picks up and viewers are whisked away into the future, we find that Hanna and Jordan are now happily engaged and living in New York City, where Hanna is pursuing a career in the fashion industry.
It certainly sounds like a fairytale romance, doesn’t it? But for how long? As any long-time fan of Pretty Little Liars can attest, it’s rare to find a love interest capable of standing up to the perilous nature of dating one of the five liars. This also leaves us wondering if we will see Tyler in future episodes. Will Caleb come charging to the rescue at the last moment, proving to Hanna that there has only ever been one choice?
Will Caleb return at all?
A Real Life Engagement For Pretty Little Liars Actress Sasha Pieterse
While some fans are obsessing over the loss of fictional relationships, a true-to-life romance has taken one Pretty Little Liars actress by storm. Sasha Pieterse announced her engagement to Hudson Sheaffer.
The engagement announcement came on Tuesday, December 22, after the proposal, which had been preplanned by Sheaffer to include a photographer. The special moment was documented and shared on Ms. Pieterse’s Instagram account. Seen in the black and white photograph is Sasha holding Sheaffer’s face in her hands as her sparkling eyes gaze up at him.
“The best day of my life,” Sasha captioned the photo. “Thank you @jonnieandgarrett for capturing the moment.”
Pieterse wasn’t the only one to share photos of the exciting event. Hudson shared a photo of his own in which he was down on bended knee in mid-proposal while Sasha looked down upon him.
“She said yes!!!” Reads the simple caption, before Sheaffer also adds an acknowledgement to the photographer.
The announcement of Sasha Pieterse’s engagement comes on the heels of another, less joyful revelation. I. Marlene King confirmed that Season 7 would definitely be the final installment of Pretty Little Liars in spite of rumors to the contrary.
An interview with Variety posed the question to Ms. King in no uncertain terms.
“So you definitely want [the show] to end at the end of Season 7, and don’t want it to go beyond that?”
“Correct,” King replied.
There can be no misinterpreting of that question and answer. Fans of Pretty Little Liars should prepare themselves now because their favorite characters will not be with them for much longer.
Season 6B of Pretty Little Liars will premiere on Tuesday, January 12 on ABC.
