Sofia Vergara: Back To Work After Fairy Tale Wedding, Found Her Colombian Doppelganger

Sofia Vergara has just experienced her “fairy tale” wedding to now-husband Joe Maganiello, which took place in Florida only a few weeks back. The 43-year-old Modern Family star has recently turned in her wedding gown and honeymooner attire for some active wear in order to film a new episode of the hit show. Alongside Julie Bowen, Sofia was spotted getting physical on set and looking stunning, as usual.

Both women looked the part as they wore tight leggings and form-fitting tops that showed off their toned figures for the scene. Often the characters played by the duo find themselves getting a little overly competitive and feisty, so it’s likely that Sofia and Julie will bring some sort of competition to the yoga studio for this scene.

As the Daily Mail relayed, the two actresses were shooting a yoga scene for an upcoming episode of the comedy that has won a number of accolades. Vergara, who portrays Gloria in the show, is the step-mother to Bowen’s character, Claire. However, Vergara is actually two years younger than Bowen. The title of the show is clearly fitting.

Vergara and her hubby, Maganiello, stepped out in style for their debut as a newly-wed couple by hitting the red carpet at the Star Wars premiere. Vergara stunned in a form-fitting black dress and wore a sleek up-do that seeemed Princess Leia-inspired. The 39-year-old Magic Mike star and the Colombian bombshell began their romance a short 16 months ago. While paying a visit to The Elen Degeneres Show, Sofia shared about the big day and how magical it was for the two of them.

“It was like a dream like a fairy tale! Like it came out perfectly like how I wanted. I have to say, the people that work helping me do the wedding, amazing!”

Vergara was escorted down the aisle by her 23-year-old son, Manola, from a previous relationship with high school sweetheart Joe Gonzalez. Sofia admits to crying as this touching part of the ceremony took place.

Vergara’s recognizable voice and her striking beauty, not to mention her witty personality, have helped her to become recognized over the course of her successful career. A recent new role that Sofia will play involves the hit, long-running animation show, The Simpsons. The executive producer for the program relays what character Vergara will play.

“Vergara will also play a teacher/veteran called Mrs. Berrera on the January 10 episode of Fox’s The Simpsons. We thought it’d be interesting if both Bart [Simpson] and [Principal] Skinner have a crush on the same woman ‘She’s more forgiving than Mrs. Krabappel was of Bart. She pays special attention to him.”

Recently, another Colombian beauty has stepped out with a striking resemblance to Vergara, which has since caused media to draw comparisons between the two, as E! Online shares. The mentioned beauty is actually Miss Columbia and has admitted to being compared to Vergara quite often. The Daily Mail relays the background of the title-holder.

“Miss Colombia is Ariadna Gutierrez and she stunned on the Sin City catwalk on Sunday in a teeny bikini.The 21-year-old from Sincelejo wore her lightened locks in the middle and straight just like the Fading Gigolo star and also had on heavy eye makeup just like the icon. Gutierrez has often been compared to Vergara in the press.”

Ariadna was born on Christmas Day and was crowned Miss Colombia in 2014. She currently works as a professional model in Sucre, Colombia and was educated at the German School of Barranquilla

It surely is a comparison that Sofia can be flattered by and vice versa, seeing as both women are stnnners, intelligent and, clearly, talented.
