Meet ‘Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ Newest Star Erika Jayne
As the sixth season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills continues to unfold, fans are certainly in for a little change of pace with the introduction of Erika Jayne. In fact, not only is Jayne married to one of the most famous attorneys in the United States, but the newest member of the hit reality show also lives an interesting double life.
“By day, I’m Erika Girardi, married to Tom Girardi. But by night, I’m something else,” Jayne stated in a clip released by E! Online.
The alter ego that Jayne mentioned is her career as a popular singer. In particular, Jayne is mostly known for her club hits that include the titles “Rollercoaster,” “Painkllr,” and “Stars.” Although some fans might not be familiar with Jayne’s songs, her hits have been included in a number of different TV shows, including The Neighbor, Toddlers and Tiaras, and The Watch.
Furthermore, a few of Jayne’s songs have been popular enough to reach the Billboard Dance Chart. “She’s sassy, she’s class and a** and heels,” Jayne continued in the clip. “All woman all the time and curvy. She’s over the top fabulous.”
In addition to her nightlife as a hit singer, Jayne is married to one of the most successful lawyers practicing in the United States, Tom Girardi. According to The Hollywood Gossip, the couple have been married for a number of years now and are in no shortage of money. Most famously, Girardi won a case that granted Hinkley, California residents over $300 million following a lawsuit over the town’s contaminated water supply. The case would go on to inspire the film Erin Brokovitch.
Although Girardi is thrilled that his wife will be included on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills this season, fans probably won’t be seeing much of Girardi on camera. “I told them they could photograph the back of my head twice,” Girardi stated. “Hopefully, I dodge it.”
Meanwhile, Jayne is not expected to hold back any punches during her time on RHOBH. In fact, Jayne admitted that she isn’t the kind of person that follows all of the rules, and promises to unleash her “inner bad girl.”
“Erika Jayne is a total rebel,” she explained. “If I don’t honor my inner bad girl, I’m not going to be happy.”
While this is an interesting approach to take and will probably grant her plenty of attention on the reality show, it is already apparent that some of her co-stars are not handling her rebel ways very well.
According to People, Jayne and RHONY star Bethenny Frankel butted heads when the ladies of Beverly Hills took a trip to The Hamptons. “Bethenny, in true Bethenny fashion, kind of let me have it,” Jayne recalled. “She has her opinion and she definitely says what she thinks.”
While Jayne and Frankel might not see eye to eye on all things, the singer does have a good relationship with Yolanda Foster. In fact, it was Foster who originally convinced Jayne to be a part of the hit reality show.“Yolanda has a wonderful way of persuasion. I’m always interested in stepping out of my comfort zone, trying new things and really stretching and getting the most out of life,” Jayne explained. “So, why not?”
Despite her alter ego, Jayne went on to admit that she does suffer from social anxiety. Given the dynamics of show and the multitude of personalities that are already present, it will definitely be interesting to see how the other Housewives adjust to Jayne’s role this season.
Fans can watch all the drama unfold between newcomer Erika Jayne and the rest of the cast when The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Tuesday nights on Bravo.
