James Bond Star Daniel Craig Is A Stormtrooper In ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ [Spoiler]
Yes, it’s true. 007 star Daniel Craig does have a tiny part in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, playing the role of a Stormtrooper. See if you can spot him in the film. There is a tiny spoiler below, but it will help you identify him.
There were rumors flying around earlier in the year that James Bond star, Daniel Craig, would secretly play the role of a Stormtrooper in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Turns out those rumors were true, and 007 himself was marching with the other armor-clad Stormtroopers in the latest Star Wars epic.
While Daniel Craig starred in a leading role as the iconic James Bond in four movies — Quantum of Solace, Casino Royale, Skyfall and Spectre — it seems 007 had to go undercover for his latest role in the new Star Wars pic.

According to a report in the Guardian, it was actor Simon Pegg that let the cat out of the bag back in May saying Craig would be in the movie, but at the time the 007 star flat out denied it.
The British star famously said to Entertainment Weekly there was no way he would ever play the part of a mere extra.
“F*****g hell! Pffft. Play an extra in another movie.”
Of course, looking back on that time, it is fully understandable that Daniel Craig, 47, would deny the rumors. The whole production of Star Wars: The Force Awakens was so shrouded in secrecy right up until the movie’s release in the theaters and having Craig in the actual production was like one of those famous “Easter eggs.”
As reported by Entertainment Weekly, Daniel Craig actually “did it for s**ts and grins.”
It was easy to slot in Daniel Craig’s appearance in the movie as Star Wars: The Force Awakens was filmed at Pinewood Studios in London at the same time as Spectre, so the cross-over was easy to do. Of course, there was no sign of any Stormtroopers appearing in the Bond movie, so it was a one-way cross.
The New York Daily News quoted a spokesperson saying Craig and Abrams came up with the idea together.
“Yes, it does involve Daniel playing a Stormtrooper, because they wear helmets and for the most part they’re anonymous.”
OK, having confirmed Daniel Craig is actually in the film, now come a couple of minor spoilers, so if you haven’t seen the film yet, you have been warned.
It turns out Craig was a First Order Stormtrooper (can’t have 007 as an ordinary Stormtrooper of course). He guards Rey (played by Daisy Ridley) after Kylo Ren (with Adam Driver in the role) captures her for questioning.

While you will never actually see his face in the movie, in this scene you can, reportedly, actually hear Craig’s voice as Rey tries to use the Force to get free.
As she says to him, “You will remove these restraints and leave this cell with the door open,” you will hear Daniel Craig’s Stormtrooper character reply, “I’ll tighten those restraints, scavenger scum.”
However Rey definitely has the Force within her as she repeats herself, causing Daniel Craig’s character to give in, saying he will remove her restraints and set her free.
“I’ll remove these restraints and leave this cell with the door open.”
Sorry for the tiny spoiler, but you will have to watch the movie to find out exactly what happens next.
In the meantime, the latest Star Wars film earned a record $57 million Thursday night, and it is anticipated it will hit the $180-$220 million spot over its debut weekend.
According to the New York Daily News, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the most talked about on Twitter this week, with almost four million tweets in the last week, added to 10 million tweets during the year.
In related news, the whole Star Wars franchise is certainly popular. The Inquisitr recently reported the story of an Australian couple who got married at the TCL Chinese Theater surrounded by the most popular Star Wars characters.
