Duggars Prove Jana Duggar Does More Than Babysit: ‘Cinderella Duggar’ Is An Artist And A ‘Concert Pianist’
Jana Duggar isn’t just the Duggars’ live-in nanny and housekeeper, and her family members want fans to know this. Her parents and her younger sister, Jessa Duggar Seewald, recently provided evidence that Jana isn’t just a poor Cinderella who spends all day cooking, cleaning, and caring for her younger siblings. As it turns out, Jana Duggar has been honing her drawing skills whenever she gets a break from babysitting, and she’s actually become a rather talented artist.
On Wednesday, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar shared a photo on the Duggar Family Facebook page that shows Jana Duggar hard at work on a holiday art project. Jana created life-size cut-outs of Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, and a shepherd by freehand drawing the nativity scene characters on huge pieces of paper. Before they were cut out, they were presumably pasted on some sort of stiff backing, and the Duggars placed the completed cut-outs in front of a wooden stable replica adorned with a Star of David and the words, “O come let us adore him.”
“Jana did such a wonderful job with the nativity scene!” the Duggars wrote in their Facebook post.
Jessa Duggar also took to her Instagram page to praise Jana Duggar’s artistry. She shared a photo collage of Jana working on the nativity scene.
“Jana has an astounding way of envisioning something, and then making the idea come to life– full scale!” Jessa Duggar wrote.
According to Enstars, some of Jessa Duggar’s impressed Instagram followers responded to the photos by suggesting that Jana should enroll in art school.
“Jana you are awesome!” one commenter wrote. “Would be awesome for her to have the opportunity to develop her talent outside the home at college.”
As longtime fans of the Duggar family know, no Duggar daughter has ever attended college. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have five college-age daughters, but two of them are married and three of them still live at home. Those who want 25-year-old Jana to become the first Duggar girl to leave home for college probably shouldn’t hold their breaths. As the Inquisitr previously reported, the Duggars are seemingly supporters of the stay-at-home daughters movement. Because of their extreme religious beliefs, Jim Bob and Michelle have decided that their girls should stay at home until they get married.
The Duggar daughters are only allowed to marry men that are approved by Jim Bob, and so far Jana Duggar hasn’t been impressed with any of the guys that her dad has picked out for her. In the premiere of Jill & Jessa: Counting On, she also hinted that Josh Duggar’s cheating scandal has made it hard for her to trust men, so she might be stuck at home for a very long time.
At least Jana Duggar is allowed to have a few parent-approved hobbies like drawing and playing the piano. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Jim Bob and Michelle are so impressed with Jana’s musical skills that they called her a “concert pianist” in a Facebook post wishing her a happy 25th birthday. The concert pianist description confused some of the family’s Facebook followers. They questioned Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s claim about Jana’s musical skills by pointing out that concert pianists usually go on tour, get paid to perform, and attend college. In Touch Weekly even accused Jim Bob and Michelle of outright lying about Jana Duggar.
Jim Bob and Michelle have also been accused of taking advantage of Jana Duggar’s status as an unmarried adult woman with plenty of time on her hands. Radar Online has dubbed her “Cinderella Duggar” because of the way her family allegedly uses her, and the webloid points out that there is even evidence of this on 19 Kids and Counting. During Jill Duggar’s wedding special, she was shown altering nine bridesmaids’ dresses while her other family members kicked back and relaxed at an afternoon tea party. A source close to the family also revealed that Jana is “tired and worn down” because she’s been forced to act like a parent since the age of 13.
“Ever since she was young, she’s had to watch over the house while Jim Bob and Michelle would go out for date night alone,” the source revealed.
Jana Duggar has been spotted carrying for Josh and Anna Duggar’s baby girl in family videos, and People reports that she spent a few nights taking care of Jessa Duggar’s infant son so that the exhausted new mom could get her beauty rest. Many of Jana’s younger siblings are getting old enough to take care of themselves, but it looks like she’ll always have little ones around to take care of as long as her adult siblings keep having babies.
