‘Dashing Through The Snow’: Hallmark Debuts Debbie Macomber’s Story Based On Her Book, Starring Meghan Ory And Andrew W. Walker

Dashing Through The Snow is a Debbie Macomber-penned, romantic Christmas movie that is headed to the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel. Dashing Through The Snow is just one more movie that is part of Hallmark‘s “Most Wonderful Movies of Christmas” campaign. Filmed in Canada, and based on the book by Debbie Macomber, Dashing Through The Snow makes its small screen debut on Sunday. The cast includes Meghan Ory Ashley Harrison, Andrew W. Walker as Dash, Enid-Raye Adams as E. Cary, and Rukiya Bernard as Agent Hobbs, according to TV Tango.

Debbie Macomber’s Dashing Through The Snow revolves around Ashley Harrison, a talented craft maker who is going home to celebrate the holidays with her family. But things don’t go as planned when she learns that there are no flights headed out. Stranded at the airport, she decides to obtain a rental car but finds out that a handsome man named Dash is renting the only car the company has left. Desperate and anxious to get back home to Seattle, she accepts Dash’s invitation to ride with him, since he is on his way to Seattle, too.

During the ride, they encounter a number of odd adventures that include adopting a puppy, problems with the car, and a case of mistaken identity. On top of all that, Ashley is being followed by the FBI, who believes that she poses a threat to national security. What she doesn’t know is that Dash is the one who is supposed to bring her in. Will all of these mis-adventures lead Ashley and Dash to fall in love? And what will happen to Dash’s job once his superiors find out that he is love with Ashley?

Hallmark’s Dashing Through The Snow is the traditional Christmas movie that adds a bit of mystery by including the FBI plot. This is different from the usual Debbie Macomber book. Some fans say they enjoyed the mystery/FBI angle while others prefer her more traditional Christmas books, those that make them feel warm and get them in the holiday spirit. In addition to Dashing Through The Snow, Macomber has had other made-for-TV movies to feature on the Hallmark channel, such as Trading Christmas, Miracle In Manhattan, and Mrs. Miracle. She is also the brains behind the hit television series Cedar Cove.

Dashing Through The Snow is directed by Kristoffer Tabori and written by Maria Nation. It is produced by Unity Pictures Group with Ron French, Dan Wigutow, Stephen Harmaty, and Debbie Macomber as executive producers. Be sure to watch on Sunday, December 13, at 9/8 central on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. “Meghan Ory knew she was going to be an actor ever since she was first on stage at the age of five. After years of dancing, singing and acting in her home town of Victoria, BC, Meghan began professionally auditioning at age 15, and four months later landed a lead role on the Fox Family Channel television movie The Darklings. In 2012, [she landed] a small role in the pilot for ABC’s Once Upon A Time turned into a series regular role as the iconic Red Riding Hood and in 2013, the same studio gave her the lead in the CBS series Intelligence.

“Andrew Walker began his acting career in Montreal as a recurring lead on the series Student Bodies from 1996-1997, and was then cast as a series lead on Back to Sherwood and Radio Active. Recent credits include the lead in the feature films Loaded and Penthouse North opposite Michelle Monaghan and Michael Keaton. He was a series lead on the Lifetime series Against the Wall and also guest starred on hit TV shows including ER, CSI: Miami, CSI: New York, Without a Trace.”
