‘GTA Online’ Bringing ‘Executives And Other Criminals’ In Swanky Update Next Week
Grand Theft Auto players are used to living the high-life in GTA Online. The latest update, Executives and Criminals, set to release to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC next week will give players the chance to live like a crime boss, complete with their own bodyguards and luxury super yachts. In addition to loads of luxury types items, the latest free expansion to GTA V brings new gameplay elements, as well.
Executives and Other Criminals will allow GTA Online players the ability to become a VIP who runs their own criminal organization. Doing so opens up all new co-op jobs, challenges, and special abilities in Freemode. VIPs will also have the opportunity to hire and fire other players as their personal bodyguards. Why would another player want to become a bodyguard? Working for a VIP’s organization provides players with “a regular paycheck and their own special benefits including RP, GTA$, and stat boosts.”
PS4, Xbox One, and PC owners can expect to download the free update on Tuesday, December 15. Once available, players can begin forming their own Organization to compete with others in GTA Online.“Organizations can go head to head in Freemode, with new missions that make full use of the latest executive defense options including new armored vehicle variants, the devastating Turreted Limo and the missile defense systems of the Super Yacht, which also comes with its own suite of supporting vehicle upgrades including the new SuperVolito Carbon helicopter and personal watercraft,” Rockstar Games explained.
GTA Online players will also discover other additions such as “opulent apartments” and “houses in the Vinewood Hills,” per the accompanying trailer shared via YouTube. There will be other vehicles added to the game in addition to the Turreted Limo, Super Yacht, helicopter, and personal watercraft mentioned above.
The trailer showed around five new cars being added. This included a Camaro-like Muscle car called the Nightshade, an AC Cobra-styled roadster, a new Porsche car, plus a sedan and SUV.
“Some existing Freemode Events will automatically adapt when played by organizations, allowing for new ways to take on King of The Castle, Moving Target, and more,” the developer’s update continued.Rockstar also revealed an all new game mode to be included in the Freemode Events specially designed for competing Organizations.
“Also included is the new Extraction Adversary Mode, tasking teams of Bodyguards to search, locate and safely extract an Executive from their downed jet before a Hit Squad intercepts and eliminates the target,” Rockstar announced.

This comes after the “Every Bullet Counts” Adversary mode that was just released this week to GTA Online, as covered by Inquisitr. The mode is a new twist on Last Man Standing that gives players a limited amount of ammo and only one life in a free for all set across four different locations in the game world.
There is still the question of Christmas-themed DLC for GTA Online left to be answered. The event Rockstar Games hosted last December turned into yuletide cheer for GTA V players, with Los Santos covered in snow and in-game gifts given to all players who logged in during the event. The Christmas event was hampered, unfortunately, by outages on both PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE. Rockstar did extend the gift redemption window, but not the snow and other events.
