Anna Cardwell Of ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ Welcomes Second Child

Anna Cardwell of TLC’s former reality show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo has welcomed her second child, according to Us Weekly.

The entertainment news site confirmed that Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell gave birth to her baby, Kylee Madison Cardwell, with her husband Michael Cardwell, who she married in May 2014, on Wednesday, December 9. The 21-year-old reality star already has a 3-year-old daughter, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Clark, from a previous relationship.

Last week, Anna’s mother, “Mama” June Shannon, spoke to Entertainment Tonight about her granddaughter’s name and insisted that she was not named after Keeping up with the Kardashian’s Kylie Jenner. She did, however, confirm that Kylee’s middle name, Madison, was after her paternal grandmother. Anna, who is one of four children, has been documenting her pregnancy on Twitter, sharing photos of her growing baby bump.

Anna and her family became famous on TLC’s reality show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. The network made the decision to cancel the show last year after reports surfaced that Mama June had rekindled her relationship with convicted sex offender Mark McDaniel, who reportedly molested Anna when she was a child. Although Mama June denied the accusations, the network decided to pull the show, and Anna later sued her mother for the $300,000 she reportedly kept from the show’s profits that were supposed to go to her and her daughter.

During an interview with HuffPost Live, Shannon spoke about the allegations and her strained relationship with Cardwell.

“We talk,” she said. “There’s not enough sorries in the world that you can tell her, and I told her that. But we have mended our relationship for the most part, even though she lives in Alabama. We don’t talk every day, but we do talk.”

As for how she handled this situation, Shannon said she did the best she could.

“I don’t think I made any mistakes as far as handling the situation when it actually first went down,” she said. “My kids know that I have an open-door policy — that you can come to me anytime, no matter if it’s bad, good or indifferent.”

While Anna and June don’t talk on a daily basis, their relationship is slowly getting better. June even said she had just talked to her daughter before she sat down with ET to talk about her appearance on WE tv’s Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars.

“I talked to her before I came out here,” Mama June said. “We thought we were going to have the baby Sunday before I came out here. She called me and she’s actually supposed to be going to the doctor today and next Tuesday she’ll be having Kylee.”

Anna revealed she was expecting her second child in April. At the time, Mama June also shared the news on Instagram and ended up being dissed by her brother, who is referred to as “Uncle Poodle.”

“they r too young to have another one i will support her and Michael but katilyn will always b gigis first baby im not going to sugar coat its im nervous for them as i know they r struggling with just them and katilyn right now and adding another one is going b hard and they r in different state for me to help her out like i was able to help alot with katilyn but going to try to b supportive as possible….congrats,” June wrote.

Uncle Poodle later slammed June for trying to cast a shadow over Anna and Michael’s happiness.

“Anna and Michael are doing pretty well and love being parents,” he said. “They do their best. Everyone has room to learn and grow, its just life. June didn’t need to cast a cloud over their happiness. I think she just wanted to spoil their good news. Anna has been a better mother than June ever was to her.”
