T-Mobile Partners With Dollar General Stores, Brings Prepaid Phones To 6,400 New Locations
T-Mobile on Monday announced plans to bring its line of prepaid cellular services to 6,400 Dollar General stores throughout the United States. The no contract required service will offer customers the chance to purchase the Samsung t139 phone which offers basic services including messaging, an entry-level camera, low-end web browsing and Bluetooth connectivity.
According to Dollar General executive vice president and chief merchandising officer Todd Vasos:
“Dollar General is dedicated to making shopping for everyday needs simple, hassle-free and convenient. Since 2004, our customers have had access to great T-Mobile plans, and we know that our customers will appreciate more communications options that are affordable and flexible.”
Customers will be able to purchase the T?Mobile Monthly4G No Annual Contract $50 unlimited plan which offers unlimited talk, text and Web with no overage charges, and the first 100 MB of data at up to 4G speeds all on America’s Largest 4G Network®.
Dollar General will also offer T?Mobile Pay As You Go plans and other “flexible spending” offers that customers can purchase on premise.

“Dollar General is the nation’s largest small-box retailer and a well-respected company that customers go to when looking to get the most for their money. This is a natural partnership to help bring Dollar General customers to America’s Largest 4G Network at an incredible value.”
T-Mobile customers will be able to spot the prepaid phones and phone plans at the front of all Dollar General stores where they will be housed in bright colors.
The service will be offered everywhere T-Mobile has service which is most of the country. T-Mobile high-speed data on the other hand will only be available where high-speed internet towers exist.
