Did Jamie Dornan Agree To Go Full Frontal For An Extra $1.5 Million In ‘Fifty Shades Darker’?

In a surprising turn of events, it now appears as though Jamie Dornan has finally agreed to go full frontal in the erotic drama Fifty Shades Darker. Despite rumors circulating that Dornan was considering and/or rejecting the idea of going fully nude in the film, Realty Today is reporting that Dornan has reached an agreement with the studio to bare it all in the upcoming sequel.

Apparently, producers are willing to pay the Fifty Shades of Grey star $1.5 million to appear in the movie in a full frontal scene. This offer goes against what was previously stated in Dornan’s contract, which stipulated that the actor would not need to go fully nude in any of the movies in the hit franchise.

At the same time, Dornan has hinted that he was ready to show a little more of his character in the sequel than in the first film. In fact, in an interview with People, Dornan related how eager he was to be playing the role of Christian Grey and how he was looking forward to showing more of his character in Fifty Shades Darker.

Furthermore, an insider recently told Hollywood Life that Dornan had indeed been offered a considerable sum to go fully nude. This decision was largely due to producers wanting to spice things up after receiving some criticism that Fifty Shades of Grey was a little tame for an erotic drama.

“They’re offering Jamie a bonus of $1.5 million to do a full-frontal scene in Fifty Shades Darker. That’s just a starting figure. Jamie would be crazy not to consider it,” the source revealed.

While nothing official has been released on the matter, it is not clear how Dornan’s wife, Amelia Warner, is reacting to the news that her husband will be appearing in the film fully nude. Given how she was reportedly frustrated with Dornan’s part in the first movie, it is not likely that she is taking the news well.

According to Movie News Guide, Jamie Dornan and his wife typically keep their private life away from the public eye, making it less likely that they will release a statement regarding his role in Fifty Shades Darker. This is especially true considering how the couple is expecting the birth of their second child next year. Dornan has been married to Warner since April of 2013.

Meanwhile, Dornan has been keeping plenty busy in light of all the rumors about his appearance in Fifty Shades of Grey. In fact, the actor was recently in Northern Ireland filming for the upcoming season of The Fall starring Gillian Anderson.

Despite his busy schedule, Dornan graciously took the time to snap a few photos with some of his fans who spotted him on the streets of Belfast. According to the Irish Examiner, this included an airport maintenance employee who had the privilege of chatting with Dornan before taking a selfie with the star.

Meanwhile, whatever ends up happening in regards to Dornan’s full frontal scene, it will not likely make it to the big screens. This is largely due to the fact that the movie would need to be bumped up to a higher rating than R if it showed all of Dornan. This is not likely to happen, as the movie would probably lose a lot of viewers if it was tagged with an NC-17 rating.

That being said, Dornan’s full frontal is something that would be released on the DVD version of the movie.

Fifty Shades Darker is scheduled to open in theaters on February 10, 2017, followed by the release of Fifty Shades Freed in February of 2018.
