David Beckham Can’t Resist Calling Out 16-Year-Old Son Brooklyn On Instagram

David Beckham has been named People’s Sexiest Man Alive 2015, according to People. Other sexy men included in the list are last year’s Sexiest Man Alive Chris Hemsworth, Adam Levine, Brad Pitt, Channing Tatum, Bradley Cooper, Ryan Reynolds, George Clooney, and Hugh Jackman.

David Beckham revealed in an interview with People that he was happy to receive the award.

“It’s a huge honor.”

Just like last year, Jimmy Kimmel made the revelation on his night talk show during one of the segments, where David Beckham’s voice was distorted and his face was blurred from the audience.
According to the New Zealand Herald, David Beckham’s kids “laughed” when they heard he was titled Sexiest Man Alive. Speaking to People magazine, the 40-year-old footballer revealed that his sons Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 13, Cruz, 10, and daughter Harper, 4, all cringed at the Sexiest Man Alive title.

“We kind of laughed about it with the boys and the boys kind of laughed at me and said, ‘Really?! Sexiest man alive? Really?'”

He also joked that his oldest son, Brooklyn, was surprised that he wasn’t named the Sexiest Man Alive this year instead of his father. It is not the first time David Beckham’s kids have felt embarrassed by their world-famous dad.

The former soccer star’s wife, Victoria Beckham, who is a fashion designer, model and singer, revealed that Brooklyn feels embarrassed when his dad drops him off at the school, which is why he drops him off just outside the school gates.

Recently, there was a yet another incident when Brooklyn felt embarrassed by his dad. This time, David Beckham humiliated his son on Instagram, as reported by the Daily Mail.

David Beckham posted a comment under his son’s Instagram photo, in which he revealed that Brooklyn stole one of his designer jumpers to pose in front of the camera. And that apparently embarrassed his eldest son.

The selfie, which David Beckham’s son filtered in a moody black and white style, Brooklyn tagged as “Rocking the old school Ralph Lauren.”

The photo was liked by 290,000 people but was then commented by David Beckham, who claimed it was his jumper. The fans were quick to notice that, according to the Daily Mail.

As reported by IBN Live, when David Beckham was Brooklyn’s age, he revealed in an interview with People magazine that he didn’t care about attention from girls.

“I didn’t care about attention from girls. I just wanted to play soccer.”

An embarrassing dad, but a very sweet father, apparently, according to actress Liv Tyler. According to Business Standard, Liv Tyler has praised David Beckham for being a “very sweet” godfather to her 9-month-old son, Sailor.

The Lord of the Rings actress and her partner, David Gardner, chose their close friend David Beckham to be one of Sailor’s godparents, who was born in February. Tyler praised the former soccer star for his contribution in Sailor’s life.

“He is very sweet, he gives very good presents. And very he’s a real gentleman, he’s a very elegant person so very sweet… He loves being a father.”

Saturday Night Live has recently spoofed David Beckham in a faux auditioning for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. In the faux screen test, David Beckham, portrayed by Saturday Night Live cast member Taran Killam, interacts with Star Wars’ newest droid character BB-8.

It’s not the first time the former 40-year-old footballer has been associated with Star Wars, as David Beckham starred as Han Solo in one of Adidas’ ads during the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
