Debut of Breaking Dawn – Part 2 Full Teaser Smashes Yahoo Record For Views In One Day
There’s still five months to go before the fifth installment of The Twilight Saga drops, but clearly anticipation is high.
As Deadlinereports, yesterday’s full teaser trailer for Breaking Dawn – Part 2 has already delivered one record-breaking milestone.
Stacking up a stonking 7 million views in its first 24 hours after Yahoo’s exclusive premiere, the teaser smashed Yahoo’s record for most views in a one day – incidentally breaking the previous record holder’s grip: namely The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.
Just as the New Moon trailer became the most viewed trailer in 2009, the Eclipse trailer was the most searched on Google in 2010 and Breaking Dawn – Part 1 was 2011’s most viral movie trailer, it seems the new record for Breaking Dawn – Part 2’s trailer is simply following in the series tradition.
This final installment will see Stephenie Meyer’s saga come full circle, so in a very real sense the countdown to opening night of Breaking Dawn – Part 2 is really the beginning of the end for this pop culture phenomenon.
