Alec Baldwin Thinks Assaulting Photog Was Funny

Alec Baldwin thinks assaulting members of the paparazzi is funny. The 30 Rock star was exiting his Manhattan home on Wednesday when he told reports that his recent confrontation with a report from the Daily News was a “joke.”

Baldwin was with his 16-year-old daughter, Ireland, when he was asked if anger management therapy was on his radar for the future.

When a reporter asked if Baldwin thought assaulting a photographer was a joke he responded:

“Yes I do.”

If you are unfamiliar with the incident photographer Marcus Santos claimed that Alec Baldwin punched him on the chin during a Tuesday encounter as he attempted to get a picture of Baldwin with his new marriage license. The encounter was caught on camera by a fellow journalist however it did not how the punch in question.

Baldwin for his part claims that he only shoved Santos when he nearly hit him with his camera. Baldwin in his defense tweet then went all Dick Cheney claiming “#allpaparazzishouldbewaterboarded.”

Marcus Santos has filed an official complaint with the local police. The district attorney is deciding whether or not to press charges at this time.

Speaking on David Letterman this week Baldwin joked that in the photo taken you can see him mouthing the letter F as he asked the photographer “What F-stop are you on?”

Baldwin is no stranger to outbursts lately but there is no word that this particular photographer was attempting to stop his game of Angry Birds so that’s a big plus.
