Why Robert Pattinson’s Family Prefers FKA Twigs Over His Former ‘Twilight’ Love, Kristen Stewart

Despite all the controversy and rumors surrounding Robert Pattinson’s relationship with British singer FKA Twigs, the two at least have the complete support of their family. In fact, according to Design & Trend, not only does Pattinson’s family approve of his relationship and engagement to Twigs, but they also prefer her over Pattinson’s ex-girlfriend and co-star, Kristen Stewart.

Although their plans for a wedding have been delayed multiple times, an inside source revealed to the outlet that the Twilight star’s family is excited about the upcoming wedding. Apparently, they can hardly wait for the two to finally tie the knot and move on with their lives together.

“She’s very good for him and that wedding couldn’t come sooner as far as the Pattinson clan are concerned,” the source explained to Ok! Magazine.

Furthermore, the family is apparently thrilled that Pattinson has found someone who shares some of his own interests. This includes a passion for music, which Twigs obviously excels in, and has pushed Pattinson to further enjoy.

“Whether life partners or husband and wife, Rob and Twigs have their massive love of music in common and that’s one of the defining features of this very intense relationship,” the source told the outlet. “Rob loves making music with her and learning from her.”

In addition to sharing their love for music, the insider went on to add that his relationship with Twigs has offered Robert Pattinson the opportunity to grow and mature as a person. This is something that was seriously lacking in his time spent with Stewart, who did not allow him to grow in terms of expanding his creativity.

“It’s actually made him into a much better person than he was when he was with Kristen, because it’s opened up this whole creative outlet for him,” the source stated. “Rob is very open about telling people that this is the woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with and his family couldn’t be more happier about it.”

Despite these reports, a different source recently told OK! Magazine that Twigs and Pattinson are actually having some relationship woes of their own. According to the insider, Twigs may be thinking about backing out of the wedding because of Pattinson’s controlling nature.

“Rob realizes he’s controlling and he sees Twigs getting cold feet,” the source revealed in the interview. “FKA thinks Rob is suddenly being very old-fashioned — and to her, just because there’s the possibility they’ll tie the knot shouldn’t mean she has to change.”

In a strange turn around, Pattinson was first drawn to Twigs because of her restless attitude. “Ironically, it’s the kind of edgy mystique that attracted Rob to her in the first place. But now he seems to have become jealous and controlling, and she wants him to tone it down.”

Meanwhile, in order to remedy their situation, the two have reportedly started therapy to work through their issues. According to the source, this is something that was initiate by Pattinson in order to save their relationship. “He pushed for them to do this, because he thinks it will build trust,” the insider stated.

In light of the recent reports, it would appear as though Pattinson and Twigs still have a lot of issues to work through as they get ready to plan for their upcoming wedding. That being said, at least the couple has the full support of Pattinson’s family, who seem more than happy that Pattinson has moved on since his breakup with Stewart. Whether or not this means that Pattinson and Twigs will tie the knot soon is yet to be seen.
