Did ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Star Jamie Dornan Just Confirm That He Is Going Full Frontal In ‘Fifty Shades Darker’?

Although it has been circulating in the rumor mill for months, fans may be closer than ever in discovering whether or not Jamie Dornan is set to go full frontal in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey sequel, Fifty Shades Darker. According to Movie News Guide, Dornan has yet to officially confirm the reports of a frontal display in the movie, but did hint at the possibility in a recent interview.

As fans will recall, producers have expressed their desire to ramp up the erotic factor in the upcoming movie. This was rumored to include exposing more of Dornan, who plays the lead role of Christian Grey. In fact, it is thought that Dornan was offered a bonus to go fully nude in the movie, which, according to Hollywood Life, entailed some $1.5 million.

“They’re offering Jamie a bonus of $1.5 million to do a full-frontal scene in Fifty Shades Darker,” an insider explained. “That’s just a starting figure. Jamie would be crazy not to consider it.”

Whether or not Dornan accepted the offer has not been officially disclosed. That being said, even if Dornan refused to take extra money and appear nude in the erotic drama, producers may have a backup plan in store. This includes using a stunt double that would replace Dornan for the more revealing scenes.

Meanwhile, Dornan recently sat down with People and discussed how excited he is to be playing the role of Christian Grey in the upcoming films. Along with his excitement for the start of production, Dornan revealed that he wants to show even more of his billionaire character.

“I am looking forward to embodying Christian again … and getting a chance to show more of him,” he told the outlet. Does this mean Dornan is ready to shed all of his clothing for the new movie?

Considering Dornan’s history with the franchise and how he refused to show more in the first film, it does not seem likely that he will bare all in the sequel. Further, Dornan and his wife, Amelia Warner, are set to bring their second child into the world in the coming months. With Dornan setting himself to become a proper family man, it is not clear if he would choose to expose himself in any way.

According to the Latin Post, Dornan’s desire to keep his life private indicates that his comments were meant to refer to his character’s personality and not anything physical. That being said, the offer of over a million dollars would certainly be tempting to anyone, even a Hollywood star like Dornan.

In fact, the bonus easily trumps what Dornan and his co-star Dakota Johnson were paid for their appearance in the first movie, which included a salary of around $250,000 each. With an offer six times higher than what he was paid in Fifty Shades of Grey, Dornan would have certainly considered accepting it and shedding everything in the sequel.

At the same time, the studio may not be willing to have Dornan go full frontal in the film. After all, this would entail a much higher rating, probably somewhere along the lines of an NC-17 rating, which might deter some fans from venturing out and watching. Considering all of the money Universal is putting into the project, and the expectations following the success of Fifty Shades of Grey, it is not likely that the studio will risk losing money for the sake of showing more of Dornan’s naked body.

Whatever ends up happening in regards to Dornan’s full frontal will probably not be revealed until the movie premieres in theaters February of 2017.
