WWE Rumors, Spoilers: Top NXT Star Backstage For Tonight’s ‘Monday Night RAW’

WWE’s ratings have slipped, and numerous stars are injured and lost for months. There has been a lot of rewriting of storylines and moving things around to fill in the gaps and in an attempt to boost ratings. It’s been rumored that the company could call up some big names to come back and help, or maybe elevate new names. Well, one big NXT name is backstage for tonight’s Monday Night RAW, and, spoiler alert, Baron Corbin may be making his main roster debut.

According to WrestleZone, Corbin is backstage in Pittsburgh for tonight’s Monday Night RAW, and could possibly make his jump up to WWE this evening.

Now, as LaBar said, this does not necessarily mean that Corbin is going to be used on Monday Night RAW, but it’s possible. He competed at the WWE Live Event on Saturday in a match against Finn Balor for the NXT Title, but that may have been to get a feel of things on a semi-big stage.

There have been rumors, as reported by Cageside Seats, that both Balor and Corbin could be called up to the main roster soon. Balor is still the NXT Champion, but will be facing off with Samoa Joe at NXT Takeover: London England soon.

It may be a bit longer for Balor to be called up, but Corbin’s time may have arrived.

At the same NXT live event, Corbin will be taking on Apollo Crews in a grudge match that has been building up for a while now. Even if Corbin makes his WWE main roster debut, he could still pull double-duty in NXT for the next few weeks to a month, as well.

In late summer, rumors were flying that Baron Corbin was being called up to WWE to partner with Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns against The Wyatt Family. That ended up being nothing at all, but there are some places he could fit in now.

Currently, the Dudley Boyz are feuding with The Wyatt Family, and they’re outnumbered by two. Baron Corbin could either come in as a friend of the family or as the lost Dudley and at least make the numbers a bit more even as they head into the TLC event in two weeks.

Maybe they will have Baron Corbin come in as his exact same character from NXT, where he’s a bit of a loner who does things on his own terms. Maybe like Tyler Breeze, they’ll have Corbin arrive on the main roster and have a beef with someone in particular.

It’s hard to know what is going to happen, but Monday Night RAW is only hours away from beginning.

Corbin debuted in NXT in 2013, and didn’t have much success at first. About a year after his debut, he disappeared and then came back after the summer, totally repackaged and with a much tougher attitude about him. He also garnered more success this time around, and has had moderate success during his time in NXT.

There is no real way of knowing what capacity WWE will use Baron Corbin in when he’s called up to the main roster. Fans may find out soon, though, if he is called up during tonight’s Monday Night RAW. Then again, Corbin could merely be backstage because he was with everyone and they’re letting him see how it all works. Only time will tell.
