Jennifer Lopez Hair: ‘Idol’ Judge Debuts New, Shorter Style [Pic]

Jennifer Lopez has refreshed her look, opting for a new shorter, curly hair style while out with her beau, Casper Smart, on Monday.

The singer seemingly shocked the world by debuting a much shorter look, which is more wild and less chic than her normal long tresses, according to Us Weekly, who obtained a picture of the look.

Lopez, 42, and her dancer-choreographer Smart, 25, took to the streets of Santiago, Chile before J.Lo’s concert on Monday, enjoying some downtime together while sporting matching black jackets and dark sunglasses.

The two have been dating publicly since November 2011, and recently put to rest rumors that they are engaged (for those who missed it, the couple will not be getting married–at least not soon).

While many of her fans are in shock over the “American Idol” judge’s new look, Effie Orfanides with The Examiner states that the star probably normally uses hair extensions, and for once debuted what her hair actually looks like normally. Orfanides writes:

“While many believe that Jennifer actually cut her hair off, she more than likely just removed her hair extensions that gave her such beautiful, voluminous layers. Simply removing the “fake” hair would give way to Lopez’s “shorter” ‘do that people are seeing now.”

For those of you who don’t like Jennifer Lopez’s new look, don’t worry, by the time her concert came, the extensions were back in, according to E! Online.

Us Weekly reports that Lopez has recently been branching out from her super-straight long hair into bombshell curls during her most recent concerts. This new look, however wild it may be, certainly suits J.Lo.
