Kim Kardashian Reflects On Past, Present During The Holidays
Kim Kardashian spent Thanksgiving together with her entire family and uploaded a picture to her Instagram account to show off the large family. Set against a backdrop of the setting sun in Los Angeles, everyone was all smiles for the picture.
According to E! Online, in attendance for the family photo with Kim Kardashian were sisters Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian as well as sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner. Her parents, Caitlyn and Kris Jenner, were also in attendance. Kim Kardashian’s husband, Kanye West, was in the picture, along with their daughter North West. On-again, off-again partner to Kourtney Kardashian, Scott Disick, was in the picture holding son Mason while siblings Penelope and Reign were also featured. Kris Jenner’s new boyfriend, Corey Gamble, posed for the picture, as did Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend, Tyga.
“After our family Thanksgiving dinner is over, I invite friends to join, especially friends who don’t have family around. So we have a family Thanksgiving, a friends Thanksgiving, and this year I will also be having a hospital Thanksgiving.”
The hospital Thanksgiving was in reference to husband Lamar Odom who was hospitalized on October 13, 2015, after being discovered unconscious in a Las Vegas brothel. Khloe Kardashian further elaborated on this special time of year.
“Thanksgiving is a time to gather around loved ones. Whether they are blood or bond…to be grateful for all that we have been so abundantly blessed with and also to spare a few thoughts and prayers for those not so lucky. No matter where you are in life you can always find something to be thankful for.”
Kim Kardashian was equally reflective of what she is thankful for. As the Daily Mail reports, Kim Kardashian used her website to list what she was thankful for this year. Of a top ten list, the first half was devoted to the Kardashian clan. Her mother — Kris Jenner — ranked number one as Kim described her as having “the love of the greatest mom in the world.”
Along with her mother, Kim Kardashian’s husband Kanye West and daughter North were among the things that she was thankful for, citing her appreciation of “a loving husband…a happy daughter.”
While Kim Kardashian spent Thanksgiving in a reflective mood, she also acknowledged that it was Throwback Thursday. Taking to her Instagram page, she posted a picture of herself and high school friends dressed as the Spice Girls. Kim Kardashian can be seen as Posh Spice in a tight, strapless, black dress.
Despite his estrangement from Khloe Kardashian, Kim has maintained that he is still a part of her family. In an interview with People, Kim Kardashian had pledged her support to Odom.
“We’ll always be there to support Lamar. You stick by your family and you are there to be the best support system in the world.”
Kim Kardashian often uses her Instagram account to promote her activities. Last month, Kim Kardashian posted pictures of her baby shower as well as more #ThrowbackThursday photos of her engagement to Kanye West. She’s also posted racy pictures to promote her new app and website, not to mention discrediting critics early on during her pregnancy.
Kim Kardashian took to heart the meaning of Thanksgiving this year. She spent the day with her extended family, reminisced about the past, and looked towards a hopeful and bright future.
