‘Alaskan Bush People’ Scandal: Ami Brown Was Child When She Married Billy
Viewers love the show Alaskan Bush People, but more and more scandals keep coming out about this family. Radar Online is now sharing that Ami Brown was just a child when she got married to Billy. Ami was only 15 at the time of their marriage, which is pretty young to get married. Billy Brown was actually 11 years older than her, at the age of 26 at the time of their wedding. The two have been married for more than 30 years, so obviously it worked out for them. Getting married at a young age can obviously go either way.
Billy Brown loves his wife very much, and shared that their relationship was actually love at first sight. They did get married very quickly after meeting, but 30 years later, things are still going strong for them. Their son, Josh Brown, was born when she was only 19-years-old, but this is not very young to have a child. When Ami Brown had Mathew, she was just barely 18-years-old. They now have seven children total. Ami and Billy did get married very young, but it has worked out well for them. This was actually legal though, because Ami only needed to be 14 to get married, as long as her parents approved of the marriage. Obviously, they were okay with it, and Ami and Billy were married with permission.
What's you advice for living the way you do?

At this time, the Brown family is dealing with another scandal. Authorities are saying that the family has lived in Colorado and also Texas, but the entire time the Brown family claimed to live in Alaska so that they could get checks for living there. This fraud could end up causing Ami and Billy Brown a lot of problems, along with their children. Hopefully the Brown family is done with the scandals coming out, and they can move on with life and reality television.

People recently shared that the Brown children don’t have big plans to move away from Alaska, either. They like it there, and plan to stick around where their parents are, and of course this will be the only way that their show would go on. None of the Brown family plans to even move away to another area of Alaska. Right now, they all live with their family in tents, in the home, and other places. This is just what works for Ami and Billy Brown’s children. This family is very close, and they don’t seem to mind being that way at all. Their oldest son shared why he wants to stay there, and it doesn’t look like he will ever leave. Hopefully when he finds a wife, she is fine with it too.
“I’d like to find a lady and have a little Matt running around one day, but I don’t see moving away from my support system. The whole family got enough land that we could divided it up between all of us.The reason that we have a lot of large families in the bush is that it takes a lot of people to survive out here – especially if you’re going to be comfortable. It also keeps you from going completely crazy.”
Are you shocked to hear that Ami and Billy Brown got married at such a young age? Do you think that this has helped their relationship to work? Sound off in the comments and don’t miss new episodes of Alaskan Bush People with Bill and Ami Brown when it airs on Wednesday nights.
